Hi All, We have currently set up via powershell an authorisation list that can email to certain AD Distribution Groups. At present we add users one by one manually via AD in Attribute Editor using the users "distinguishedName" Value then adding it to the "authOrig" value. Is it possible to do use the Distinguished name value of a security group that certain users are in to allow group authorisation? Thanks Lewis

I have started to notice a few apps that we have been assigning to certain groups as “available to enrol” that don’t seem to be appearing on the device’s company portal. I can see the group’s memberships are correct but for whatever reason they are not appearing as available. Any ideas, we assign them to the MDM via ASM and I can see the device are showing in the group. Thanks

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and professional Management Information Systems (MIS) and Exams Officer. An exciting opportunity to join a professional and purposeful central IT & Data team to support the ongoing development of a successful all-through Academy. Bobby Moore Academy is an all through school, providing a world-class education for the children of east London which is transformational in its impact on their life chances. We are situated across two iconic sites on the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, and our Secondary phase is now heavily oversubscribed. We are building partnerships with the new East Bank development, bringing incredible opportunities to the young people of East London. Since the school was founded in 2017, we have set ambitious academic standards backed up by exciting enrichment opportunities, whilst nurturing and caring for the wellbeing of every child. At capacity, our two sites will accommodate over 1500 pupils, including a Sixth Form opening in September 2022. We currently have over 700 pupils on roll across Reception, Year 1, Year 2, and Years 7-10 in the Secondary phase. The academy will grow year on year to reach full capacity in 2024. About the Role The strongest candidates will be committed to attaining the highest standards as Bobby Moore Academy welcomes its first cohort of Year 11s from September 2021. Hi all, Due to building design we plan to use a VGA Cat5/6 extender to allow teachers to have a second monitor to their desk. To give you an idea of the layout its a relatively new school, our science classrooms have a teacher desk which is an island, the only way for teachers to have a monitor on their desk is to either have wires across the desk (which is a no go from the start) or use the infrastructure of the network cat6. Each island has a network port and so does the interactive board / PC. our network runs to a hub room on the same floor. To test the deployment we purchased a portta vga extender https://www.port-ta.com/extender/vga-extender/porttar-vga-utp-extender-with-audio.html At first all seemed well, however I and the teacher have noticed an issue with the colour sync with the monitor that uses the extender, Blue seems to be more shifted to the right then other colours which causes a slight blur, which with long use can cause the teacher to have a headache. any suggestions with what I can do to realign the colours? Does anyone else use an extender and have seen this issue before? I have tried to adjust the res, and the gain & flex Cheer all.

Hi, They are MFD, this seems to have happened after a windows update. Our Drivers are set to print double sided as default, this is set on the server drivers. which normally works fine. I have not checked the GUI so will take a look there. Regards

They have all been restarted, including the server but no change

Hi our kyocera printers are printing double but on one sided, rendering the printouts useless. see image below... Here is our setup. Printers are on a print server windows 2016 Users print to a virtual printer (follow me printing via PaperCut) Printer models: Kyocera TASKalfa 8052ci & TASKalfa 8052ci Driver: KX Driver v7.4.0830 (PCL 5c) All printers use the same Driver PCL 5c (NOTE this was swapped as it also happened on PCL 6) Users are Windows 10 Ent This only effects if the user select double sided which is standard practise here. for example a 4 page document will print on 1 page double sided with double layered (printer over each over) Any ideas? Many Thanks Lewis

Hi All need to pick your brains. We have the following set up in our classrooms. · HP EliteDesk 800 Mini Desktop (Windows 10 Pro) · Monitor 1 Connects to a monitor screen on teachers desk (VGA connection) · Monitor 2 connects to a Iiyama touch screen monitor (used as interactive board) (connection HDMI 1) Both Screen are normally on duplicate on windows projector mode. When a member of staff switches logins, Monitor 2 flashes from black to image constantly with the monitor trying to work out resolution. Monitor 1 shows image as normal and does not flash. When looking at windows projector mode the setting reverts back to PC screen only, however still shows a duplicated mode (i.e. two screen show an image) The only way to stop this is to turn off the PC. I have update the Intel graphics card and no change. I have three PCs starting to do this fault so not sure why it is growing. I feel this is a Windows / graphic driver issue as this only happens with these computers and nothing else. Was thinking of a possibly gpo or registry that could force the display to be on duplication and not switch back but am unsure how to do this, any ideas? Many Thanks

Hi we have some PDFs created by an education learning company they are around 10 pages long and are a mix of portrait and landscape pages. When our staff print them out to have as notes, adobe will not print them correctly. It seems to be an issue with the landscape pages. In some cases when the document prints out some landscape pages are bank or in other cases once adobe reader starts preparing the document to the printer it gives an error message saying pages not selected, then it prints the first portrait pages and stop when the document changes to landscape. I have managed to work out it’s an issue with the orientation set-up on the print setting, its set to auto, to read both types. Then you put the setting to either portrait or landscape it prints fine. However this is not a good enough fix for us. Any suggestions? Regards, Lewis

Hey Guys, really could do with some help here... we have migrated our file server over to a new one. I have moved everything over to our new file server and have changed the group policies. But after testing I have noticed issues. Most policies are working and have been picked up by the work stations but the printer mapping policies and the drive mapping policies seem to be not working. I have changed the drive mapping policies to the correct location. But when you go to my computer then click on one of the drives its still trying to connect to the old server (cpssvr01) not the new one (cpssvr1). (see pic) I have tried a GPupdate /force on CMD on the workstation but no luck. I am also having issues trying to change the map printers policy. When trying the change it to the correct printer path I get the following message. (see Pic) any ideas guys? Thanks, Lewis
