    I'd guess that you upgraded the BIOS, but did you re-seat the CPU? and check the pads and pins for anomalies. Also thermal compound and that the CPU heatsink is seated and working as expected.

    I had a modded PSX back in the day, I had Jap versions of Metal Gear Solid and Tekken 3! I had them a YEAR before the official slower versions came to the UK..     windows, running a scheduled task to load a PowerPoint every 5 minutes from a network share. Then have them edit in power point ( no new skills) and save the new document in the share when done. (or edit it live)

    if you save the xml from GPP then import it into task scheduler do you get a better error?

    yes, greyed out on mine with united states as well. I think I'd installed english uk as part of my image (on windows 7) windows 8 and 10 were international english versions so are unaffected.     external hard disks drives usually install a few new drivers like scsi adapters etc. maybe a class type is being blocked? You've blocked driver installation?

    the laptop only has the os and office on it, what is there to loose? Bitlocker uses hardware encryption on the SSDs (by default) anyway and this is probably broken, it's been shown that drives (looked at Samsung evo 840 and crucial) can be made to self decrypt due too poor implementation. Best not to store the data on the device. And staff don't typically use USB sticks (as they are usually connected to the school via DA anyway) We have TPM on all our laptops but we decided to not store the data on personal use devices.

    I set it in the image but it's easier to use the English international version of windows when creating the master image.

    we use unencrypted laptops here, we tell the staff to store no documents on the laptop and access all files over Direct Access, this will allow the laptop to behave like its here. All updates are downloaded directly but controlled from WSUS. We use KMS activation which seems to work over the DA link. Staff are told to use bitlocker for USB but we haven't enforced it, they've been told, if they ignore it thats on them.

    yes they can, as special child accounts. You can link one adult account as well (for Prime Video) You can sign up for 3 months Audible as well. (so 3 audio books for free)

    is this for staff and students? if it was staff only you could use Direct Access on their laptops. We're using SharePoint a lot now, which whilst wont give pupil access to school drives we are in the process of putting our resources into O365. (better meta search, ocr, transcribing etc.) You probably just want a solution for now but maybe you should invest in the idea of moving the resources rather than supporting an old method.

    I'm doing this right now, I've got a 180 education version loaded in hyperv. I'm just going to do my usual, put stuff on, take stuff off, sysprep and capture. WDS yay! I've never got to grips with MDT and how it ties in with WDS. EDIT: I'm not sure if I should go office 2016 or 2019, I'm not liking 2019 and I'm unsure how well it will auto update.

    for local users, you mean non-domain users of those machines?. Setting up a wpad.dat on the domain would still set local users (and any non-domain user and device) It takes some effort but is super handy in the future. Deploying WPAD | FindProxyForURL EDIT: to do it so any user on any non-domained device (ipad etc.) (or domained) can still use the internet use the iis,dns,autoconfig setup.

    I'm using 1703 and it states it's only for enterprise or education, like Direct Access. Also I hid a wookie in the lock screen, no one has seen it yet

    you should be able to plug that drive into another PC and it'll prompt for the bitlocker password, then at least you can access their files. Luckily as we now know that bitlocker (on windows 10) uses the hardware encryption on harddisk or SSD these are probably broken (samsung and Crucial) the data could be recovered without the key or password. The drives can be made to decrypt themselves

    ok using message trace I've found that a rule is moving them to a folder.... That's it "a folder" a folder with no name. This looks like an incomplete rule is being applied. I checked their rules folder and it has only 1 rule for another purpose and it checked out ok.

    This is an odd one, one member of staffs email messages are not showing up on anothers outlook 2013 or online Outlook on 365. I've tried focused inbox, resetting the view, checked for odd rules. and I'm out of ideas. if we perform a search for the sender user on the inbox of the receiver and the emails appear, otherwise they do not? Unread or read.... The default is all, they do not appear. This is the same on the online office 365 outlook as well... to be clear, the emails are arriving, a search shows them, but they do not show normally. Ideas?

    nope, they've been pro-active about our very annoying "facebook sometimes just won't publish/upload/do anything" problems. I do use the portal more than the phone now.
