as @localzuk says I use the IPEVO app in the M$ store. it does not broadcast but shows any usb camera attached and has the important mirror and flip buttons. So the visualizer can be above the paper rather than below it.

I make sure my workstation is running as close to the curriculum builds as possible. To help spot issues early or replicate issues reported.

if the laptop supports Display-alt mode then yes.. it's not always clear or documented. if it has a 8th gen intel the likelihood is higher. I don't know of any Ryzen that supports it. I have those budget DFE Dynabook laptops with a Celeron that do support DisplayPort alt mode. (the A30) but others do not, if you know the exact model of laptop you might find it in the specs somewhere. EDIT on re-read. Assuming you have DisplayPort Alt mode for any picture from your laptop, then YES the docking monitor has a DisplayPort output on the back for a second monitor. (You can run 2 monitors from a single usbc port) I used a DisplayPort to vga adaptor to run an old display and it worked great.

We are using NANO-HD latest firmware and NO RADIUS just a psk2. We have a few clients that although connected have trouble that seems like firewall issues. Some refuse to ping unless I force them to re-connect from the unifi web interface. Some will lag out pinging 8.8.8.8 for over a few minutes. usually re-connecting the client resolves the issue. My issue maybe configuration as I've had the same wifi settings for 5+ years, and they've been transposed to different controllers.

looks like realtek for the speakers and headset and the intel for sound over HDMI.

I don't use wall boxes, I use back boxes with a brush plate (and a coat hook) or I run the cable to the desk for direct insertion or into a usbc docking station. fyi you can get HDMI cables that use fiber optic rather than copper. (they have source and destination on the plugs and don't cost too much more) This fixed this issues with our newline RS+ TVs (as they wanted to run in 4k60) and our older copper cables couldn't quite do that. They'd get fussy at about the 6m mark picture could work sometimes etc. I once had amazon basics cables using optical but they've changed that (10m+ cables) EDIT: found one!

I have a 1080p 27" at home and a 1440p 27" here at work. I prefer the 1440p it's a better balance imho. I think 4k and HDR (most HDR is fake or underspecced) are not worth it in windows or gaming. Productivity is probably better suited to a multi monitor setup than 1 expensive monitor.

wow! I was doing someone a favour as their new (ish) 10th gen i7 laptop a 15s-fq1006na was periodically declaring it has no hard disk installed when turning on. (even though its an NVME) No data loss, no windows complaints and resetting the laptop makes the issue go away... This I thought sounded like a firmware addressable issue.. well f me. When you find the support page for the laptop and go to drivers you have a single option..."order driver media" No Drivers to download, No firmware, no firmware history. yikes! I'm used to the probook experience (where a new firmware is usually available even if the device is 7 years old) and I've recommended HP laptops on my experience with those business products. urk. But wow the domestic products look similar but are a second class device as far as HP is concerned. (out the factory, out of mind) side note: I did look on the western digital website to looks for firmware for the drive but it is up to date.

ipads maybe using private mac address mode (as its the default now), so keep changing mac addresses when they feel like it. This might upset some systems you have in place.

I believe Aruba to have a good reputation. Maybe they've been installed in areas that are unsuitable. (hot, damp, vibrations)

To me it looks like a deployment issue. The registry stuff looks like a symptom (not a cause) made from install issues. There is a don't badger the user option in the deploy.

aww man good luck. Corel Draw 2020 deployment drove me loopy. The deployment instructions do not mention what version can do what deploy and the instructions allow you to mostly deploy using a method not supported by the version you purchased! (yes deployment methods are locked out depending on licence but is not documented)

Unifi are great VALUE but it'll be quite the stepdown from a Meraki network. You'd have to buy a Unifi security gateway if you want them to do DCHP. You can do guest wifi profile for ssid (that isolates them from lan traffic) not as amazing as an ap to firewall vpn using NAT that Meraki has but oh well..

ask the manufacture if this function is possible. We purchased projectors many years ago that didn't have a freeze function which was a big problem. We talked to the manufacturer and it turned out that the DID have the function but you had to purchase a different remote! Just in case, look in the panels line up on their store and see if any of the other panels have the freeze function or if a replacement 3rd party remote has the feature. (as ours did) Or train teachers to use extend mode. EDIT: also sometimes some remotes have a custom button feature that can be mapped to freeze. (ala Viewsonic Projector!)

no, you have to select the team type at creation. The differences are primarily the OneNote that is included. You might be able to fudge one in via sharepoint? but I'd just start over

Any sensible way of splitting a mail merge document. I need to save it out as separate files to send via parent mail. So far I see installers, addons and pdf splitter web program. I saw a tutorial on splitting headers in Youtube but it didn't work with our document. is there no native way of doing this without having to trust some obscure program from a random website. I couldn't find anything in the office store either.
