Toner costs are the same for 2 sheets and 1 sheet duplex. Not sure on our actual ream cost now, but we used to buy about 5000 a year when when had individual printers and a few main Copiers. I don't think that has reduced at all now that we have MFD's with follow me print and Pcounter. Rob

at £1.50 a ream ( what we pay our local supplier ) that's 100 reams of 500 pages that's 50,000 pages need to be printed on the second side before it's worth it. Do you envisage that will happen? If not then if it's a cost saving idea to duplex then No it's probably not worth it. But the advantage of being able to do 2side is good. Rob

bear in mind that if you arre going to Vlans you will need a router that can do vlan trunking (Router on a stick ) or layer 3 switch to provide interconnectivity between the Vlans. If I was doing it again in a new environment I would buy up some Cisco 3560's off ebay second hand. ( perhaps with a couple of spares ) for the distro and edge switches. Core Switch would depend on the size of the network. Rob

I am using caloriecount.com, there's also an Android App for it. at 2000 Calories per day I would be putting on weight. Fortunatly as I have been monitoring my diet over the last 2 years ( even when not trying to lose weight ) I have a fairly good inbuilt calorie "ready reconer" . Got routed vlans at home Rob

Well I am going strong. My calorific intake for the last week including offset with excersise points) has been just under 1000 per day, which should kick start the body into burnign fat. Need to increase that a bit or the body will start conserving. Not weighed myself yet, going to give it a couple fo weeks. Rob

I bought the wife a £69 one for christmas as she reads alot. She did not want to use it "I Just like real books" last week she took it to work during a night shift and read 5 chapters on one book, whe is now on her third kindle book. My m8 has hundreds of books in his garage. H never touches them, he Bought a £69 one as reading on his Galaxy phone was getting tedious. He was the one that convincved me that buying one for the wife would eventualy work even though she resisted on principle! So. My recomendation would be to start with one £69 , and if it looks like it's going to get use then consider upgrading. I don't read many books so can't realy comment but I nearly got hooked reading the first page of a book when I set up teh wifes! Rob

How are you connecting to the internet , you need a static IP and enable a Port forward from your router to the internal server. You will need to get your DNS hoster to point "Moodle.myschool.edu" at the Static IP. Rob

Our Exchange has Mailbox and Hub Transport on one VM and CAS on the other (on a XenServer Host), I don't think you can have Mailbox without some sort of transport. We also have BES and our mail relay on the same XenServer host using a virtual network switch for interserver traffic between the Mailbox server and relay. Rob

Done p2p Radio and Physical link. Depending on what speed you need radio does not have to be line of sight, somethig like a pair Deliberant 5M-18 will give 100Mb even with some obstructions. Rob

You could do with asking one of them what their DNS is and then running an MX query for your domain against it. I use MX Lookup Tool - Check your DNS MX Records online - MxToolbox most of the time for testing. Rob

Can the firewall and Netgear do 802.11Q Trunking , if not does it have enough ports for each of the vlans? And you don't want the three networks to talk to each other, is that correct? Rob

VPNS's and VLANS are totaly different technologies. You need to diagram what you want to achieve, that will make it easier to assist. Rob

You should be abel to determine the exact URL that's eing blcoked and then add it to an allowed custom filter component under user-defined. Rob
