if it's a digital set it will be on a digital line card, plugging in an analoug phone will not work. The set has to work with the PBX that it's plugged into so if the manufacturer does not make a Cordless then there is none to buy. Rob

I use MythBuntu as a PVR recorder using NOVA-T DVB-T encoders. Power wise, it powers up automatical from cold to do a recording, then shuts down afterwards. you can have it as a back end and have multiple front ends haging off it ( so a laptop in the lounge, bedroom etc ) so that you can have multiroom TV/Music/Etc... Or build an vMware ESXi virtual host and run a few things.. on mine i have> I have vortexBox running for ripping and storing music and videos. ( linked to my MythTV ) A Suse Linux Box for my main file server A XP machine for testing old apps. You could also install a security appliance ( as mentioned above ) like ClearOS, pfSense, Untangle Rob

Yeah, we are going to revisit XenApp as it never realy featured in the deployment. I believe you can download full 60 day trials for all that is required.. Our next step may be looking at running vMware server again with XD/Xenapp over the top. Rob

Anyone using Myth? Been with it for just under 3 years, On my 5th System now. 1) Old P4 in Massive Anatec Case, with single tuner. 2) Acer veriton USSF PC, AMD64 , mini-pci tuner Blew up 3) Dell SX280 usff , USB tuner, P4 ate power! Blew GPU 4) Acer T180 PC Dual Tuner Card. Lasted about 18 months till christmas ( think mobo or PSU fault ) 5) 2nd Acer T180 PC Dual Tuner Card. Yesterday had MythMote working for the first time since Upgading to V25 Got mythfrontend working on laptop agian after 2 years LOL.. Got mythfrontend working on Android I have had fun with myth over the last 3 years, it's gr8 for what it is even though there are a few bugs. It plays my MP3's from my VortexBox back end. It's currently writing a TV recording to a Menued DVD for my farther in law. Mythshutdown set's the PC to wake up ready for a recording. All in all, not bad for free on old hardware. Rob

Boot a computer of the CD ( it's a gr8 CD to have in your "WonderfulDisks" collection ) Go to the HDD menu and run partition magic. It will boot a Linux GUI. On there you will find a menu item for photorec. make sure the USB pen is plugged in and photorec should guide you through the recovery steps ( although it is text based. ) As I say, there a windows based ones Free Data Recovery Software, Backup Software, Partition Manager and System Cleaner Freeware in Windows/Linux/Mac - EaseUS Official Site do one but it costs money for anything over 1GB . download UltimateBootCD and use photorec which you will find in HDD>PartitionMagic There are plenty of free "Windows" tools but have a 1GB limit Rob

It's will either be a PCI-E or Mini PCI card. find out whicha nd buy a bunch of something similar of Ebay. You may find that some cards use 3-wire antenna but the laptop may actualy have 3 wire in it depending on it's age. I can't remember if you actualy need the 3rd wire or not. Rob
