Interestingly Toshiba are apparently launching a Pad with Android but with tools to make them manageable ( apps/functionality ) in schools , aimed at schools. With talk of AD integration. Well to block P2P traffic have a rule Src IP (IP of wifi network ) mask ( Mask of wifi Network ) Dest IP (IP of wifi network) mask (Mask of wif Network) Set it to match on Src and Dest IP Action DROP You will need a rule befor that with the destination as your default route for that vlan to pass. ( so that traffic can get to the rest of the network ) And then some further rules to block and other ports you don't want to go through the router. Rob

You may need to block all inter-client traffic on the wireless to prevent clients talking to each other. This is not too hard with Meru's firewall. Rob

Well it is the phone that plays the tone and not the server, try a reboot of the server the phones. Rob

If there system is configured so that the client user/machines are on a vlan that can be controlled by the FW. It can be done on Meru Firewall, and on the HP usigng ACL's on the vlan. Rob

I use VBox for some stuff and it works well. Mainly to run XP though for doing thnings that Linux won't let me or when testing stuff that I don't want to break my laptop. Rob

if you can get 8GB or more you should be ok. ESXi is good with both memory and CPU and when a Host is Idle it uses ver little CPU. My home host is on a Quad Core Q9550. Currently sitting at 368Mhz out of 4x2817. That's with a SUSE, Redhat and XP box doing very little. Rob

C7000 Blade chassis 10 BL460c G6 dual 6 Core Xeon, 96GB Ram. Each Server supports 44 Desktops. Client HW is a Mix of T5740 terminals, 4320T ( thin laptops ) and fat devices connecting. Performance for most users is fine. There are a few issues but generaly more reliable than loads of FAT clients. Rob

On the last point, grab the £200 and run! We changed as the cost of physicaly moving old phone systems to new buildings was false economy. We run a vastly over spec Cisco, but we were not advised that it was overspec by our consultant. Rob
