As it happens on both boxes, and the recordings themselves are fine, I discounted a hardware issue. The drives report as "Normal" in the software, and I can't take them down to run a full test during term time. I just managed to track down a manual for the DVR boxes, and the illustrations in that manual show the same gaps, so I think I can stop worrying about it!

I have inherited a CCTV system which consists of two DVR boxes with a number of cameras. The cameras are set to record in one hour segments, but it appears that every time one segment ends it takes two or three minutes before the next one starts. Of course, if we have an incident it always seems to be in that gap! The DVR boxes are NetSurveillance. I suppose I could increase the length of the segments, but if I ever need to download a recording I have to download the whole segment, then cut it down manually, and I don't really want to have to bring down any longer videos. Does anyone know how I can stop the gaps?

A lot depends on your policies. There is no rule that says the structure has to be the same for users and devices. Are you going to have the same policies for all students, regardless of the school? If so then having them all under one OU, so you only have to apply those policies once makes sense. I would assume devices will have geographic policies applied - so machines in school 1 will have different printers applied than machines in school 2 - so they need to be in different OUs. Maybe turn around how you are looking at this, and let easy of policy management determine how your OUs will look.

I've had something similar when a loopback policy was set in error to replace, not merge. It might be worth creating a user OU and computer OU with inheritance disabled, pop a test user and test machine in as appropriate, and adding the GPOs one at a time, rebooting and testing as you go.

Actually, in the Outlook desktop App, select both calendars, then right click one and select "overlay" They will then both appear in the same view. -
My first thought, whether Mac or Windows, would be the firewall.

On the rare occasion students fail to hand in work, I will find it and share it with the teacher. I estimate I need to do this maybe twice a year.

Staff simply ask students to share a file or folder with them if they need access to it. That's the benefit of 365, staff only have access to the work they need, rather than having to dredge through all subjects.

I have been told that "What do you enjoy about working here?" is a good question to ask. Gives you a feel of the working environment.

Yes, I fully understand that, but I have lost count of how many times I've gone to a lesson that is on hold, while the teacher is flapping that they cannot teach until x is fixed, when a simple Win+P or reboot would have got them back teaching in the time it took me to get to the classroom. -

OK, I've fixed the exams issue by reloading SIMS. I still get an issue with Nova-T.

We have a couple of users who need to connect to all three SIMS instances, and have therefore configured our Connect.ini to allow this: This works perfectly for most of SIMS, but not for the Exams module or Nova-T. Exams gives: and Nova-T gives: Any ideas?

I have Workshark 4 running from the server - mapped drive to the workstations. The target in the shortcut is P:\Wordshark4\wordshark-programs\Wordshark4nrun.exe, and the start in P:\Wordshark4\wordshark-shared. It's certainly worth a try with v5.
