  1. No, definitely smartboards - SB640. I got to the bottom of it - the sensor that showed the board rubber is in the tray was dirty, and not registering the rubber correctly - looked in diagnostics and the erasor sensor was flashing. Cleaned the contacts and it's fine now. The simple things eh?
  2. I've just had reported that four or five Smartboards, running Smart Notebook 17.3 have, since friday, had an issue where the toolbar flashes and they can't type in a selected area. It's as though the board is being touched in some way, although it isn't, and it has suddenly started happening to a number of users. I've run a firmware update. It doesn't happen if I disconnect the board, so it's definitely the hardware. Any ideas?
  3. All job adverts should be like this
  4. A quick google gave this: https://support.arbor-education.com/hc/en-us/articles/115000324325-Completing-incomplete-attendance-registers#admins-sending-reminders-to-complete-registers-or-completing-them-for-teachers-0-0
  5. Which MIS do you use? SIMS has a missing registers notification - the attendance officer has to chose which alerts to send, but it's a simple tick box: https://faq.scomis.org/kb23337/
  6. Does this help with the hyper-v machine? https://kickthatcomputer.wordpress.com/2014/06/03/configmgr-osd-fails-to-start-in-winpe/
  7. Anything in the SMSPXE.log on the server?
  8. Do you have a Task Sequence deployed to that machine? I've had machines reboot if they can't find anything to apply.
  9. So, create the folders as well. If you clear the profiles anyway you only need to create it for the person who is logging at at that time, not for the entire school population.
  10. You should be able to use Group Policy to push the file out at logon. User Config - Preferences - Windows Settings - Files - Target Path C:\users\%username%\AppData...
  11. Activate office 1: cmd /c C:\windows\system32\cscript.exe "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office16\OSPP.VBS" /inpkey: Activate Office 2: cmd /c C:\windows\system32\cscript.exe "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office16\ospp.vbs" /act
  12. What do you have in your "Apply Network Settings" section? Do you use a sysprep when applying the OS - could a setting in there cause a problem? In "Apply Windows Settings" I enable the local administrator account and set a password, if you do that you will at least be able to log ontot he machine once built and see what's happening with the user account.
  13. Make sure you have the command in the right place in the task sequence - in the image you showed, it was running too soon. Put it just before your bitlocker command.
  14. Does it work for everyone else in the group on that laptop? That is, could it be a machine issue, not a user issue? Is the firewall correct?
  15. Yes, the APs will have a different password to the console, but you can still see what that is within the console:
  16. Isn't the password viewable via the management console? On my network it's under Settings - Site - Device Authentication
  17. There's a GPO to do this - you can add it from :\Program Files\Microsoft Configuration Manager\tools\ConfigMgrADMTemplates.
  18. Could you build a virtual machine on their desktop, and have the second one on there? Or get the systems team to build a RDP server and run the second as a remote app?
  19. We use them, and have just renewed. Very happy with the service.
  20. Do you redirect My Documents? I've had issues in the past with a windows folder appearing in My Documents - usually because an update can't access Windows due to restrictions, so it puts the files in My Documents instead. If it's only happening to certain users, and it's not the install, it must be something they are carrying with them.
  21. Does this help? They suggest a misconfigured redirected folder: https://superuser.com/questions/966603/unspecified-error-when-renaming-folders-in-windows-10
  22. Do you use roaming profiles or UEV? Could something be following the user?
  23. Would a pivot table get the data you're looking for?
  24. We're leaving them with students as well. I'm sure we are still going to get the odd bubble pop.
