  1. Can you try setting 'Sign in screen' to 'never show usernames and photos' this is what all 4 of my deployments are set to and your scenario has never occurred for us.
  2. Folks - I'm trying to get autopilot working. I've got to the point of it giving me errors in the second stage - errors on security policies, requires a reboot for certificates, errors on network connection (despite a wifi profile being defined and working to create a wifi connection without any user interaction) errors on apps but they all seem to be installed. It then subsequently says 'previous step failed' for account setup. What policies am I missing for this to work?
  3. I've also made an intunewin of it if anyone cloud based wants a copy I can pop it into OneDrive.
  4. I've made an MSI that turns off allowing staff to sign up to the free trial, and certain things - activities, assessment buttons - prompt to 'Please sign in to see if this feature is available to you'. Under 'Account' 'Start Trial with Full Features' is greyed out so I'm pretty sure we aren't using any of the plus features based on this behaviour?
  5. That's interesting - I've just tried it on a BenQ, a Tango and a random old ELO all touch functionality seems completely normal? You can add, raise and lower screen shades, you can annotate using pens in notebook using touch, the server copy of the gallery from Notebook 2013 still works, lined paper backgrounds still work - that's about all our staff use! Going to install it manually for a select group of users and see what happens.
  6. Has anyone tried this - does it mean reduced touch functionality, like to a single touch rather than multi, or does touch just not work at all unless connected to a smartboard?
  7. I've just tried a fresh 22 deployment and it's fine - doesn't even show the watermark! Must just be 19.
  8. I've got 3 people using ReMarkable - they chose to buy it for themselves - and it does work really well, I hear nothing but good things from the users and I don't really see the devices except in use in meetings!
  9. F:\ight for your right to diskpart-y I'll see myself out.
  10. It's a requirement of our RPA membership and a compliance point from our MAT. I'm just doing as I'm told.
  11. We're keeping a single microserver on site to provide DHCP, DNS, Xibo content, police Cyber alarm and, temporarily, a print server until we move to Uniflow Hosted over the summer. We have a further plan to remove that completely as well with the DNS/DHCP functions being moved to filtering platform, Xibo being moved to YoDeck, Cyberalarm being moved to a spare PC and Uniflow Hosted taking over printing. This is only not happening staright away because of timescales and budgets.
  12. Does anyone know how to restore the classic print queue in 22H2. It really doesn't work for us when we might have 100 jobs in the Uniflow queue.
  13. We've noticed that users on TalkTalk connections are far more likely to experience consistent AOVPN issues than any of the other big providers. We've also noticed that on Sky branded routers VPN traffic is the first to be dropped if the router gets busy.
  14. Sorry to be the bearer of bad new! Integris is 'baby's first' MIS. It's missing so many 'standard' features it's like working with an arm tied behind your back. They also make it incredibly difficult to get data out of the MIS other than statutory returns. We moved away from it to Bromcom, which, don't get me wrong, has it's own issues and challenges but it can do everything in it's own roundabout way.
  15. We've been seeing some similar issues recently which seem to be network interface related - particularly with Intel ProSET and Realtek devices. Latest drivers from the manufacturer seem to be alleviating it for us. Interestingly, some of the 'latest' drivers from the manufacturer are several versions behind those on the device and available through windows update, but the drivers from WU seem to have features missing which I think might be causing the issue.
  16. I don't think there is - I think it all has to be done directly into the MIS. We used to use it and it was inputted by a member of the office staff from spreadsheets supplied by teachers.
  17. I expect it is NCSI. Has the school ever manipulated NCSI in any way - disabled it, redirected it to a local server etc? Are your devices allowed to turn off the network adapter in power saving? One of the schools I support had it disabled for some reason - not just by policy but but by a load of reg hacks just scything keys out in startup scripts. It's taken me ages to work out exactly what that predecessor did to it and return it back to working order.
  18. Not sure about Beta, but nothing we currently use for access is integrated with the fire alarm so not a consideration for us in this instance.
  19. Currently standalone (individual system per door, non networkable) ACTSmart single format 125khz readers with a mish-mash of elderly Paxton and HID Global controllers.
  20. Is anyone using it? We're a Unifi wireless school already with an upgrade to Unifi switching at Easter. We currently have about 2 dozen standalone access panels which have to be programmed individually for new cards or fobs - this ends up costing us around £12 per new fob to implement! We've had a couple of quotes for replacement Paxton and TDSI systems and we've been quoted an eye watering amount of money. I've read the instructions and I'm pretty I can implement them in the place of the existing equipment.
  21. Sure it's not a secure boot/boot issue later - installing and creating bios partitions on a device that has uefi set in firmware?
  22. My Snr Tech role was expanded to cover all AV and Theatre tech. It already included some DevOps and Cyber Security.
  23. Yup... It's e-share. If you block the domain e-share stops working. I am not impressed with the GX boards at all TBH. They're slower and more unstable than our screens from BenQ and Newline which were cheaper! I'm going to be spending a bit more $ on the MX again next time.
  24. I'm told by my Chromebook reseller that if you don't have a paid for Workspace, buying through a partner is the workaround for importing Android devices.
