What I have found when having connection issues with the Ubiquiti system is that sometimes a simple reboot of the AP has solved the connection issues on a batch of clients because they had lost the connection on the nearest AP and was picking it from another AP with more clients and a weaker connection. The Ubiquiti console should give tell you what AP is running the clients. Good idea of Davit2005 nothing better than seeing it for yourself, could also be a problem with the individual users profiles, if they are too big then it causes problems.

Do you test the laptops with same issue on a different AP? When the get moved around some of them might be picking up an AP that has more clients attached to it than the one your testing on. You should be able to see this in the console as well.

Thanks Joanne, I will take a look.

Hi All, One of my schools now has about 15 Ipads that they have bought from various sources not the Apple Ed store, so my question is how do I manage them seems we can't use School manager because the devices don't come from an Apple re-seller or the Apple Ed store. So does anyone know how its done? Could do with some pointers on this one. We do have a Mac book so wondering if that could manage them? but what to use? Thanks

Bet it took them hours to get ready..

In Durham yesterday with my S7 for the Brass Festival. Stopped to watch these guys perform 7 Nation Army, brilliant. One from my garden and the other of Durham Castle.

Sounds great, but I wonder how that will go down with parents having to fork out an extra £2 for headphones they keep breaking or losing.

-

Is there such a product ??? We have bought from Hills and other vendors and none of them have been able to stand up against children, chewing cables, pulling the ear cups off, split ear cups, cables fraying the speakers in the ear socket being pulled out. Although Hills headphones did last the longest but they are not childproof.

I used to live a few miles away from Belsen which has the same effect when you walk round it so still and quiet.

Can never seem to get close enough for something like these. Nice shots.

Great photos. Are we looking at Auschwitz?

I decided to just put a folder on every users desktop that has all the shortcuts that they need for the software installed and told the staff to use that rather hunting around in the start menu. We are Primary schools so the pupils are pretty directed what to do anyway. In the case of Microsoft they sure know how to make difficult instead of easier.

Twitter Feeds Images not showing up
JATSO replied to JATSO's topic in Internet Related/Filtering/Firewall
Our side of filter it seems, checked when I went out for lunch on 4G. A call to BT and Smoothwall I think. -
Anyone not seeing images posted on Twitter feeds were in the NE. Is it Smoothwall (SWURL) or Twitter.

Secondary or Primary, we had it at Primary and they moved to Scholarpack.

It's the council need i say more! The staff are happy to use Google Drive but when the sender hasn't surely the LA would have a secure portal rather than resorting to attachments.
-
Hi All, One of my schools has requested that that I remove the attachment compliance to their domain as the LA has tried to send them an attachment and it has been removed. The attachment was is a .zip file which are removed along with some other file formats as part of the compliance. We also notice Smart notebook files get removed as well which is really annoying for some members of staff. Any recommendations on the best work around or should I remove the compliance. Their domain I just administer it. Thanks

They like it and, the only issue was transfer of old data from previous MIS to Scholarpack, make sure you have it all because we had to restart our old server with the old MIS on and retrieve some data that was missing when Scholarpack went live. No big deal as far I i know. My other 3 schools are staying with SIMS and will move to the cloud with SIMS.
