  1. If they are domain PC's the heads are using does it do it with the local administrator logged into the pc they are using?
  2. Seems to work fine here on IE 11.
  3. I like that one, do mind if I nick it for use in my schools.
  4. If you have smartboards already and all your school is 100% smartboard then you can upgrade the software even without buying new smart hardware, as localzuk said no support on other hardware. We went down this route and still use our SB560's
  5. I spoke to learnpad support this morning and also Lexia a few weeks ago, Lexialearning were not being very helpful and were sticking to the technical info on their website. See link: Tech Guides | Lexia Learning Learnpad support is looking into the issue so I await the outcome of that. Their support address is: Support Articles - LearnPad UK UK Learnpad Telephone Number: +44 0845 862 3390 We are using: Learnpad Version: 4.2.1.433 Learnpad Config 3.0.1.432 Learnpad Browser: 1.3.1.429 Android Version: 4.2.2 Chrome
  6. Well its not just Mathletics, we bought Learnpads last year and we need to run the Lexia Core5 UK app. Well it installs OK and is a bit slow but the biggest issue is that the backspace key does not work when the app starts up so that if you make a mistake you have to come out of the app to re-type. Lexia only supports certain types of android tablets which is in itself frustrating as "Android support is limited to these devices: Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 and Tab S2, and Google Nexus 7” (2012 and 2013) and 10”. The device must be able to access the Google Play Store; for this reason, Kindles cannot use the Core5 app for Android" and you can't use the website as the browsers available to Learnpad will not do flash or will only run a earlier version of flash. All very annoying and could be an expensive white elephant.
  7. 122 Modules loaded No Conflicts detected.
  8. It's my laptop that I use all the time, thinking of moving to Win10, just an odd one really, does it at my other schools as well and at home. Might be just a buggy Windows OS now.
  9. Chrome Version Version 50.0.2661.102 m Extensions used but disabled: Google Docs Slides Google Docs Offline Acrobat Rapport Sheets Only happens when on the Edugeek Website though seems fine on other sites which is an odd one.
  10. Hi all, Hope this is the right place for this. Been happening a over a week now that when I try and browse the Edugeek website using Chrome it hangs and crashes. I have uninstalled Chrome and cleared the cache and plugins and re-installed via a fresh download but it still crashes. Switch IE 11 and Edugeek works fine. Anyone had an issue lately?
  11. Had to rename a friends because their neighbour was stealing their wifi after one of her kids had put it on the neighbours laptop. My friend couldn't think of a name so it got called The Party House.
  12. Thanks for that. Will take a look.
  13. With the push of Win10 by MS, has MS reset the counter for all windows updates on Win7 because since the GW10 push has appeared updates for Windows 7 seem to be non-existent or take forever to check and find. Running the Windows Update Readiness Tool seems to have no effect. Would prefer to upgrade in summer break rather than adhoc upgrades because MS wants rid of Win 7. Anyone had the same problem?
  14. Picking the pieces of glass out of my pocket indicates that indeed adult mode was used I had my car keys in the same pocket...
  15. When you ask your son what version he wants installing and and you realise that the lens on your smartphone is busted.
  16. Maybe this will help SysInternals Pro: Using BgInfo to Display System Information on the Desktop
  17. We also had the polycom software with logitech webcams which has fallen by the wayside in favour of skype.
  18. We spent £6000 on videcon kit several years back and it was a white elephant and was only used a few times. Skype is the preferred choice now for those that use it around here.
  19. The whole smart licensing setup has become a joke Looked at Alphateach and the Genie Touch both seemed impressive but the cost of a screen runs in at £2K -3K+ So we purchased 4 x SB680 at about £800 each and and 3 year smart licence advantage.
  20. The Jungle Book. The original Disney version was so much better and much more fun than this rehash of great classic. They even cut the vultures scene out of this remake.
  21. Probably they were Cisco APs. Well gone now though.
  22. Vendor Lockin Get a qualified electrician to re-wire in a standard extension bank and future proof the trolley at the same time.
  23. One of my schools installed new wifi in 2011 and the installers called it "TSUNAMI" well it was promptly changed.
