Get this a few times a week in all my 4 schools. Just delete the profile check the registry for .bak files and make sure the user can log without getting a temp profile. This always sorts it for me but would like a permanent fix. Microsoft probably just ignored it as a permanent glitch in Windows 7 and certainly wouldn't fix it now.

The Casio projector have a cloverleaf socket so we used them to covert kettle lead that was wired in with the old projector. They PAT test fine.

Hi, I have running on Windows 7 PC in our domain KMS Host for Windows 7 Professional and KMS Host for Office15 (2013). The problem I am having is that the my KMS Host for Office states when I start word or any other ms office 2013 product states that my Office 2013 is not activated, when I run slmgr.vbs dlv/ all it shows the count for Windows 7 and OFFICE15 rising and falling current status is: Windows 7 - current count 7 request received 10 Office15 - current count 10 requests received 142 I believe it all is working fine but why isn't the pc that I use as my KMS Host activating its own office 2013. Have I simply not made the received count yet? Thanks in anticipation.

Have this no end of time but with an much older version. Check your windows firewall. Can you ping the server when logged in as administrator? Check that the DNS server that ranger sits on is in the list of DNS servers given to the local machine, I only have 1 internal dns server you might have more. Run Rangersetup and remove ranger from the pc and re-add the machine to the domain and then re-run rangersetup gets a bit annoying if you have lots of pc's displaying the message though. Consider going vanilla and dump Ranger for GPOL

I was given the task to source a 2nd monitor because the all in one pc washed out when the sun came out and shone into the room. Con's Bezel is textured black not shiny black seems that all shiny black tends to be be on monitors with a glossy screen. 24" in size slightly bigger than your existing 23" screen. Hi, Did you sysprep the machines after you had imaged them? missing out sysprep after imaging will cause the activation problems, KMS works as long as the machine can see your DNS server and the KMS Host. The most annoying thing about KMS is the windows firewall and that the local administator account is enabled with that same password that is used as the domain password. Configure those and it works as long as you have reached the 25 Client limit then all clients should activate via the kms host. Have you used the VAMT tool.? it helps. Jatso

Hi, Ensure you allow all required services through the firewall on both the server and the target PC, install VAMT2 from microsoft and find the target PC using VAMT2 and activate it via the VAMT2 console. easy peasy. VAMT will run on XP,Win7 or your server. Good Luck

Copied the files to a usb boot disc, booted into dos and ran RMIMAGE and then a menu followed the instructions and the rmimage reports that the file is created ok, reboot the PC but the bios is not updated. Any ideas? Thanks Mark

Why pay good money££ when you can teach the kids HTML5 and CSS & CSS3 and use the free editors such as GIMP and Notepad++ it's not as pretty as a 3rd party design software but it does the job and kid's learn faster than us old cronies. All the teachers of IT will need to do is develop an extra skill and try and keep up with the kids once they start.

Hi, If your proxy server has your gateway(router)ip address configured then just configure the gateway IP setting on your XBOX with your proxy servers IP address. It would look something like this: Gateway Settings 192.168.0.1 Proxy Server Settings IP 192.168.0.2 SM 255.255.255.0 GW 192.168.0.1 XBOX Settings IP 192.168.0.3 SM 255.255.255.0 GW 192.168.0.2 It should work because the proxy server forwards onto the gateway. I've used this setup to force the proxy on via DHCP and it works provided the dhcp client has the proxy server configured and the proxy server is local and is configured with your gateway IP address.
