Just installed 6 new servers and they have LSI MegaRAID SAS 9240-8i controller cards for Raid 5. Spec'd the servers after a detailed discussion with the sellers server designers who took on board our needs and budget. Servers run Windows server 2008 32bit for curriculum and 2008R2 64bit for Admin, 4gb Ram curriculum and 6gb for admin, each server has 1.5tb of storage set up Raid 5 giving us 1TB of usable storage. Tandberg 320GB SATA RDX drive for local backup. Servers run great cost about £2000 for each server. I think the raid cards cost about £230-250 at the time. hope this helps.

We used them for the first batch of laptops for teachers some 10 years ago. Although some of their laptops are still running so they do build robust kit. What a disaster? behind on their delivery date and not pre-built with the software, we had to to do it. I then thought I would give them another trial for a couple of purchases as things and companies do change over time. Well Ergo did'nt let me down on the quality of the kit but the delivery was still the same as it was 10 years ago, so would I use them to provide me with hardware - maybe! but would i expect Ergo to deliver on time - probably not! and it is this element of delivery and customer focus that deters me from using Ergo. Using Stone Computers at the moment.

We have dropped RM and some other schools are following. I was at a meeting last month and the RM rep seemed worried from the response from the floor when everyone stayed quiet at his request for any questions. Look out RM the milking cow is running out of milk!
