Your right and sometime sits very slow. You can local install though as it gives you the option from the menu.

Sherston produced a bundle of their software 16Gbs that runs from a its own share and menu, still use it here on version 1709. Some titles throw up errors now and again but they just do without when I tell them its was made over 17 years ago so shouldn't be to hopeful that it is going to work. Some software that we have in my schools is really old and I sometimes local install into the public folder in a folder called software and it just seems to work with no errors. You could try that.

I sent their sales rep an email they are looking into why their support did not respond to my online email support request. He also sent me this. Hope it helps for those that need it.

I have just emailed their sales rep who sold us our last bundle about so called free email support or the cost of implementing full support for Learnpads from another school, wonder if I will get a reply?

Hi all, We use Smoothwall and Eset as our protection solution, I have been asked by one of the finance directors how many cyber attacks we have had? Can we even retrieve that sort of info is my first question? They are probably looking at Cyber Insurance and whether it is worth having or all just another money maker for the insurance companies, it won't be my decision as to have or not have but I been asked if I can retrieve info on whether we have been attacked or not? from our current set up? Hi All, We have recently installed 4 of these in to one of my schools 3 x 75" wall mounted and 1 x 70" Mobile unit. I had an issue yesterday that when the HDMI snake lead was connected to a laptop it wouldn't be picked up by the Activepanel, I by-passed it with another HDMI to test and it worked fine so for some reason I decided to reverse the original HDMI snake lead around just to test a theory whether it would work or not and it did. Thinking this was a one off, I removed the HDMI lead from the snake lead and re-threaded it and connected it up to the panel and all is fine. Our 70" mobile Activepanel had developed a fault and was being replaced today under warranty, the chaps from Promethean were onsite for 7:30am and had the new Activepanel mounted and in place ready for testing for when I turned up at 7:45. Plugged a laptop into the HDMI snake lead and no signal so they tested with a spare HDMI and the panel worked fine so I mentioned my earlier problem and he said it shouldn't make any difference but they tried what i did and it worked. Why work one way and not the other? So has anyone come across this before? or is it just a bad batch of HDMI leads in the snake setup. Weird one but we have it all set up and working and they kindly left me with a spare HDMI lead just in case.

I had to build a Windows XP virtual machine so they could run it under Windows 7 other than that under Windows 10 you might have to forget them. Had the same problems with the digicams from IntelPlay.

Whats annoying is that when a sales rep moves from one company to another and calls you up saying" Hi, I am with company A now, and would really like you to use us" and we did initially, but then they sort of just dropped off the map. Their loss is another's gain in my book.

Only if you can get them to give you a quote, I have stopped asking them because they never respond.
