Hi Davit, We do have redirected desktops for Pupils. I have asked for the ICT CO to provide EventViewer screenshots on issued laptops.

Hi JATSO, We have only had them all in one room at present, do you suggest taking those issued laptops to a different room, log off and on again and see if they desktop loads. If it does load, are we assuming the AP is the issue?

Good Morning/Afternoon I have recently taken over a new school, server has been rebuilt with Server 2012r2, current Wi-Fi system is Ubitquiti Unifi Pro. Problem the ICT Co has voiced is that, when a class set of laptops have been taken out say 15 or so, at least 10 will load the desktop fine and show all pupil icons, where a select few will load but show no desktop at all. If the ICT Co was to load those laptops with the issue the next day or afterwards they load fine. Most of the laptops have been Delprof and some still load without a desktop. Is there a possible strain on the network? I am sure that the WIFI should be capable enough to cope with 15 systems wirelessly. Anything in GPO that could be applied to allow laptops to wait for a stable connection? I am confused with this, so any help appreciated. Dean

Hi Steve, Its not just within office, I may have found the problem. It could be a dodgy OS build as I have two different machines and one works and one doesn't. Going to reimage a machine to see if I can duplicate the problem.

Hi Chaps, I have taken over a school for a awhile now and have stumbled across a problem that appears to be effecting the school. When a teacher or pupil tries to save any work and clicks the save as option to browse, there doesn't appear to be a "My Computer" option so they cant browse network shares or locate a USB stick. I believe its got to be GPO issue but not sure where to look. Attached a screen shot. Dean
