Personal opinion, but if you knew it was already damaged/partially broke and still asked them to work on it, it's kind of in your hands there I'd say. If for example the only reason it was still semi-working is because it was squeezed in a certain way, and by them doing the battery it stopped that I wouldn't blame them Were they told about the damage in advance? Just in terms of whether they'd be able to do anything to "work around" it Steve

That's an issue I was looking at recently, as we had the same issue occuring. (Additionally with last year teams that were unarchived). Still not found a nice way to do it, unless you have dynamic groups available from higher o365 licensing. Out of curiosity, those of you using things like Krystal/OVH etc for Wordpress, are you doing it on their "wordpress offerings" or just a VPS with your own installs? Just wondering in terms of specification, as things like Krystal wordpress offerings are all on very limited resources (1cpu/1gb), but obviously offer all the lite caching etc options, compared to a higher spec VPS in the first place Steve

Aye, in all fairness though I'd much rather a school with full Win7 than a massive mix up like what I've inherited. My new place currently has Win7, 1507, 1607, 1703, 1709, 1803, 1809, 1903, 1909 and my desktop 2004 build! Seemingly the old company running the place couldn't apparently get WSUS or SCCM to work so everytime they upgraded an area it has the "latest" version of Windows in it, like whhhaa.... No wonder they have so many issues even with basic things like a program being compatible across suites And we wonder where all schools money is going! Much to do much to do! Steve

Wouldn't it be easier to put the VPN connection on the login screen via a system wide VPN and then just do the file servers normally? Then as long as they connect to it before logging in (via policy/do it email) it'll update and no hassle Steve

Depending on the router and it's abilities have you considered just using something like dynamic DNS? (No-Ip/DynDNS etc), so it just links to a domain and will change IP with it Steve

There's a difference between a generic login (as in shared), and a number of separate accounts that are reused with passwords changed daily though. You still have the information as you know who's assigned that login on a day to use and if something's done etc Steve

I mean depending on how complex you want it, FMS already has that built in via restricted access where people can add POs and they need authorisation (Don't get me wrong it's clunky but it's there) My latest place of work has an interesting way of doing it, not entirely sure how many schools would accept this route, but basically there's a pre-designed email template (think order form). You fill in what you want, type name in your section, email it to your linemanager/boss etc, they agree it and type theirs in their box, forward it to finance/business manager etc, if they don't agree it they don't forwad it. Finance only orders things from said budget holders who forward emails to them etc, so if you try to email it directly to them they'll ignore it No paperwork required hurrah! Steve

How are you resetting those accounts each day if you’re using different supply staff? Guess the principle is least manual work required the better Steve

At my last place we set up 5 supply accounts that got reset every night to one of a list of passwords (let’s say Horse19), and these are automatically set to change on logon. Then when supply logs in they change the login for the day, and use it through out so no issue if paper is lost End of day it’s reset automatically again and repeat Same idea I’ll get setup here when I get some spare time Steve

Could be a number of things really. Did the organiser share a link to join (rather than direct invites) and someone passed it on? If so anyone can join using the link as a guest without being invited directly (You can test it easily, create a meeting, add someone into it with you, and go to copy the link. In another random computer/browser, open said link and it'll be a guest login Steve

Sounds like someone activated for devices to register in Azure, deleted them but didn't clean up the task on the machine that tries to reactivate it? Try dsregcmd.exe /debug /leave on one of the dud machines, give it a reboot and see if it resolves it Steve

Yep it's a silly setting, you can't actually change it until the meeting is set. You then need to go back into the meeting and modify the meeting options so "only me" is presenter etc (or other teachers blah blah) Think there are ways to force it org wise, but by default it's not like that Steve

If it's been left that late and it's urgent best option would be to use the search box top right and look through the Start Menu XML threads. There's lots of ways to do it, and lots of different routes depending what you prefer/how users access it etc. Pick a route you like and there should be some good information on it - Edit - Not sure why you deleted your 2nd post stating the above, but it still stands Steve
