I know you said it's not an imaged laptop or any modifications, but seeing you have custom software installed like Teracopy are you sure it's not an issue with that? Seeing it normally replaces the standard copy/paste functions with its own? Never seen that occur on any versions of Windows at all, and the fact you say it's affecting so many models/versions suggests its something that's being installed out the ordinary Steve

Just to confirm, you do realise that 30 min cycle doesn't do passwords? They're on a separate 2 minute schedule for password updates that runs independently If you have longer delays with password resets sync'ing it's more likely to be linked to AD replication timings etc depending on how it's being changed Steve

It's normally within the SIMs server, under system manager that you tell it your name you want them to login with, unless I'm misunderstanding the question (There is a two way trust right?) Surely if user is still on Domain1, and SIMs is now on Domain2 if SIMs includes Domain1\User1 it'll still work? Steve

It's a bit of a bodge in a sense, but can't you change the connect.ini to be trustedauto rather than trusted, so if it fails to login it'll default to asking for credentials? Alternatively, can't you change their login names in SIMs to match the new domain (or old one) depending which aren't working Steve

Any reason you don't use your core switch/firewall as the DG? Rather than the ISP router etc? Then just use a default route to push that out to the Firewall/ISP router etc. Only things that should affect with the second hop would be things that are trying to bypass it either way, as anything going via proxy etc would act in that manner anyway Steve

You could try removing the MASReceipt for one of the free ones and see if it lets you redownload them, but I'm pretty sure that would unlink paid for ones from VPP and link to whatever account you're logged in via. Steve

We have our school making all teachers prepare a folder of seating plans for the last week of lessons (As in a seperate one to normal just for this purpose), and then an single shared mailbox setup for parents to email with any positive tests that'll be remotely monitored by a number of SLT/Admin etc. Was rather pleased with their thoughts on that one Steve

Out of curiosity, how nicely does the Aruba play with the Unifi in terms of fibre/dacs etc? Was considering a similar route, but most older threads I've seen seem to say they don't play nicely. Morning All, Just looking at speccing up a full school refresh for servers, and wanted to check if anyone knew about the priority of caching for S2D For example if I went for an unusual 1:1 ratio with SSD/HDD on a 2 way mirror, would it effectively become a full flash array while both hosts are up because the redundancy part of the data would always fall back into the HDD as it's not used, while the main servers would always be cached due to the large cache? (Same logic on a 1:2 ratio on a 3 way mirror etc?) Or could you still end up with primary data in HDD while redundancy sits in flash? Thanks, Steve

Is she trying to use a custom app to do it? If so you might not have the app enabled in said classes The normal assignment/quizzes are created within the Team, so you don't need to pick a class as it's assigned to whichever class you have open when you create the assignment. Thus that screen shouldn't be appearing in the first place, as soon as you create the quiz it'll auto give options within a class (Example Below): Steve

No the "Profile Path" you did in that screenshot is what makes it roaming. For local profiles, you just don't set one. So create a test user without the profile path, and you can log into any other machine to test it. Shouldn't need to use a special machine etc Steve

You can also use folder redirection, so anything in Documents/Music/Downloads/Desktops etc etc is saved on the server, not locally. And yes it'll be quicker after the first login to a machine as it doesn't need to pull profiles down, just uses what's local. First login will always be a bit slower as normal as it has to create their profile In terms of you accessing their work, you'd do it on the server (or via the UNC paths etc for their drives) as normal, that won't affect anything in that sense If you don't have a test student/teacher setup, make an account and try it and see if how it works Steve
