Hi, I wonder if anyone can help. I'm trying to delete a reg key found under: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Enrollments\ I only want to delete the key (there are many) that contains a "value name" of "AADResourceID" with a "value data" of "https://enrollment.manage.microsoft.com/" eg. I wish to delete HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Enrollments\C4BAAD2F-2443-469E-B9E7-73C59EEAEF60 If that's the key that contains the correct value data. Hoping someone can help.

[ms office - o365] Random issues with Shared Computer Activation!
kennysarmy replied to kennysarmy's topic in Office Software
Spoke to soon. We're getting quite a few issues this term with staff & students not getting the O365 token UNLICENSED PRODUCT Most features are turned off because a shared computer license isn't available I had to remove a teacher's local profile to fix the issue this morning. Sometimes a restart fixes it. Sometimes signing out of office and back in fixes it. I can never recreate the issue and show it to Microsoft, it just seems to break randomly and it's very annoying for the users and us -
I can work out what key to delete by checking the Task Scheduler and finding the key under Microsoft - Windows Enterprise Mgmt! So if I could script it, it would be: Check to see if device is already in Intune, if it's not, then lookup key above and use that to remove the correct key in the registry under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Enrollments If anyone has any ideas of how to start creating this

I've successfully got our estate of 1000 ish windows devices Entra hybrid joined. A GPO has been applied to the correct OU to do Intune Auto Enrollment, of the 1000 devices only around 90 are appearing after two weeks. Any devices which have been re-imaged since the GPO was put in place are appearing OK, suggesting something up with the others. I've discovered if I delete a key in Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Enrollments the devices start to appear. The key is different for each device. The key to delete looks like this: Questions. 1. What could be causing this "key" to break the auto enrollment. 2. How can I mass delete this key from all devices not auto enrolled correctly to Intune? 3. Is this "fix" likely to break anything down the line?

Smoothwall: From Hero’s to Zero
kennysarmy replied to chrisjako's topic in Internet Related/Filtering/Firewall
Our experience with Cloud filter was that it removed all the rules from our on-premise device and left students able to view all kinds of websites they should not have been able to. As you can imagine, I've been put off looking at it for a while. -
Block specfic fonts on DaFonts with Smoothwall
kennysarmy replied to kennysarmy's topic in How do you do....it?
Not that perfectly the students have found a way around the block! If they append a search string behind the block page they are allowed to view the site: https://www.dafont.com/theme.php?cat=718&text=Wildlifepals should work, even though https://www.dafont.com/theme.php?cat=718 is still blocked. I'm having my ticket reopened with Smoothwall. -
con2prt still going strong here

Will this mean if I install the software to a network share and copy in our previous JSON file it won't work and we would need to open up the ConfigEditorGUI app and manually copy over all our pre-sets?

Definitely the same Group Policies applying to this room as others? If you swap a PC in this room with a room that it's fine does the issue follow the PC?

Completely Block YouTube Shorts - Is it possible?

Can I ask what the problem is with shorts if you're already allowing YouTube access for students? -

We'd like to block access to a few unsavoury fonts on DAFonts.com Eg https://www.dafont.com/theme.php?cat=718 I've created a category popped in the above URL and put it at the top of my web filter policies but the page is still accessible Any ideas?

Thanks for getting in touch and for also letting us know about the communication taking place in the EduGeek forum. This is a known issue that Securly has formally raised with Google Education and they are working on it. https://status.securly.com/ : Several School districts have reported receiving an error message when attempting to access YouTube: "Sign in to confirm you are not a bot, this helps protect our community." The issue is linked to an anti-bot measure recently put in place by YouTube. The new measure requires certain traffic sources to log in to their Google account to view video content. While this isn't directly related to Securly, it impacts schools, particularly those that don't use Google accounts, like those in the Azure ecosystem, making it difficult for those students to log in to YouTube. Securly has escalated the problem to Google's education account representatives who have informed us that the issue should be resolved by the end of next week for our users in the US. We are working on a timeline for our users in the UK and Canada. We are also currently investigating potential workarounds from an engineering perspective. More information to come as we receive updates from Google We appreciate that this is inconvenient for our schools and their staff and we apologise to you for this. Unfortunately in this scenario we're at the mercy of Google. There has been some progress made by them this week in terms of whitelisting some of Securly's IPs. Unfortunately, I can't give you an exact timeframe for this to be resolved. Our best estimation for some time at the start of next week. We'll keep you updated as soon as there is more progress and appreciate your patience at the time. Best wishes, Alex -
And once you've unlocked and re-installed Windows to fix an issue, how do you then ascertain the Windows Key? :/ There is no sticker on the bottom of the laptop

Staff at my affected school are now starting to create their own Google accounts to get around this issue. Sites not using Securly for web filtering are not affected at all and are using YouTube as before! -
