As in, I see a few posts looking at alternatives to Replit so presume that it is considered "unsafe" from a security and safeguarding stand-point.

What are the risks in allowing students access to Replit?

In another quest to find a way to allow our A-level students to do coding I'm looking at VMware Workstation 17 Player! I've created a base Windows 11 image (VMDK) and have edited the associated VMX file to include this entry nvme0:0.mode = "independent-nonpersistent" which is equivalent to immutable in Oracle VirtualBox. I'm as of yet unable to work out how to get the students on to the image without presenting them with the full VMware Workstation 17 Player GUI - anyone been able to crack this? Ideally I don't want them launching this at all.....

We pushed out VirtualBox to a couple of classrooms to allow A-level computing to do some coding etc. The staff and students have reported that the VM's can run slow and freeze quite frequently. I've looked in to this and determined it's down to the green turtle! Can anyone advise how to export the list of devices from the Monitor portal? I'd like to cross-reference the list of devices which it should have installed itself on and then troubleshoot any discrepancies.

I was looking at a Halifax Fixed Rate Cash ISA (already bank with them) They state "Open with £500 or more. Then save what you like within the first 60 days as long as it's within the ISA allowance" I'm unsure if this would then prevent me from transferring in from a maturing fixed rate ISA (also with Halifax) it if does not mature within the 60 days.

As I understand disabling chat only disables the ability to create new chats. We're looking at using retention polices with a retention of just 1 day to see if that removes existing chats, I've created the policy (against some test users) but MS say it takes 7 days to become active. Hopefully this will work.

We are using Background Tab but have been advised we should move to Session Cookie so we can upgrade to "Maiden". I'm running some tests - how can I tell from an iPad client if it is actually using session cookie as opposed to background tab? Sorry for thread hijack

Issues with our Smoothwall on-prem today. Seeing similar messages as above in the logs. 12:23:28 Monitor Caution: Large amounts of system messages are being generated, entering burst processing mode to preserve system resources. Awaiting second line to call us back, currently trying to get hold of Smoothwall support but no one is answering the phone, I've been trying for 20 minutes now!!! @ibpalle @tom_newton
