  1. Good thinking. I presume it's the middle one?
  2. I've now managed to get hold of two of the dependencies, but the 3rd, this one "Microsoft.VCLibs.140.00 x64 14.0.30035.0" I'm struggling to find an APPX file I can download from the Internet, anyone any ideas?
  3. On Monday I received an email from ViewSonic advising: We’re excited to announce the global launch of myViewBoard 3.0 — an intuitive, more engaging, and inclusive whiteboarding experience designed to meet today’s diverse classroom needs. So I thought I'd start doing some testing and downloaded the ZIP file from their link. Previously this had been an MSI (version 2's) but now it's an MSIX and a prerequisite file : Microsoft.NET.CoreRuntime.2.2.appx When I add the MSIX (myViewBoardV3_3.2.0.749_x64.msix) to Intune and then point at the dependencies file they provide I'm faced with the attached. There install instructions merely state: 【myViewBoard 3.0 for Windows Installation Guide】 Thank you for using myViewBoard 3.0 for Windows. This compressed file contains all the necessary components to install myViewBoard 3.0 for Windows. Please follow the steps below to ensure a smooth installation and proper operation of the application. 📁 Package Contents: 1. myViewBoardV3_(version no.)_x64.msix – myViewBoard 3.0 for Windows installer 2. Microsoft.NET.CoreRuntime.2.2.appx – Microsoft .NET Core Runtime 2.2 installer 3. ReadMe.txt – This instruction document 📌 Pre-Installation Notice: myViewBoard 3.0 for Windows requires Microsoft .NET Core Runtime 2.2. If this runtime is not already installed, the application may not install or run properly. 🛠 Installation Steps: 1. **Install the Runtime First:** Run `Microsoft.NET.CoreRuntime.2.2.appx` and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation. - If the runtime is already installed on your system, you may skip this step. 2. **Install the Main Application:** Double-click `myViewBoardV3_(version no.)_x64.msix` to begin installing the main program. - If a system permission prompt appears, please run as administrator. - If the installation source is blocked, go to "Apps & Features" and manually allow apps from this source. ✅ Once installation is complete, you can launch myViewBoard 3.0 for Windows from the Start menu or desktop shortcut. 4. Have you had a quote yet for the full CoPilot licence? I had one and nearly choked!
  5. We've hit upon a slight bug in V3. From CDM support: Thanks, a few clients noticed that too. Its an unexpected issue in 3.19, opening Office files in RO folders causes CDM to crash as they try to open in Co Auth. We have fix in 3.20 for it but its a few weeks away from release yet. Either 3.18 will need to be put back on there or files in RO folders opened in SP online for now.
  6. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/graph/profilephoto-configure-settings I followed this and it seems to have resolved our issue of students changing their profile photos to that of staff
  7. But when checking it appears to be installed ;(

  10. I've been trying all morning to get this powershell command to work and I'm getting nowhere. Connect-MgGraph -Scopes "User.Read.All" Connect-MgGraph : The term 'Connect-MgGraph' is not recognized as the name of a cmdlet, function, script file, or operable program. Check the spelling of the name, or if a path was included, verify that the path is correct and try again. It's driving me nuts and I've wasted 3 hours today trying to get this to work
  11. I have a computer GPO which sets a licence key to: Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\IAM Cloud\Cloud Drive Mapper I have a GPO which installs v3.18 of the Cloud Drive Mapper software, controlled by membership of a security group, this also installs keys to Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\IAM Cloud\Cloud Drive Mapper If I remove devices from the security group and run a GPUPDATE the software gets removed during start-up of the next reboot, however no matter what I try the licence key also gets removed, which means if I set a newer version to install at the same time it won't then run as the licence key is missing. I though I could force the GPO which sets the licence key to run "last" or after the removal / installation phase but I've tried all combinations: GPO1 is enforced and link order is #51 GPO1 is NOT enforced and link order is #51 GPO1 is enforced and link order is #1 GPO1 is NOT enforced and link order is #1 Very frustrated, as it means if I remove and update the software it will require a second reboot to then put the licence key back in place. I've opened a ticket with CDM and their response is that we should not uninstall the old version but just install the new version over the top (this works, because the licence key is not removed by the uninstallation process) - however over the years I'll end up with devices in potentially dozens of security groups for each version of the software we wish to update to. Have I missed anything obvious?
  12. I've pushed out some software to windows devices using a group policy object. Security Filtering was set to Authenticated Users and the policy was applied at the top level of my domain joined devices as we required it everywhere. I now wish to evaluate a newer version of the software to a small subset of the whole estate, I'm thinking the only way to now do this is to create a security group of all the devices on the network called "softwarename_V1.0" and replace Authenticated Users with this new group. Then, create a new GPO for the updated version of the software and set security filtering to softwarename_V2.0. Move a couple of PC's from one security group to the other, ensuring the option "Uninstall this application when it falls out of the scope of management" is set to Enabled. Or is there a better way? Cheers
  13. Do you use the Folder Redirection element of CDM? I can get Videos, Pictures etc to redirect but not currently Documents
  14. Migration completed - not without a fair amount of hassle!! The company who assisted used Migration Manager - which seems to have just missed huge chunks of folders. They also did an initial seed a week before the cutoff date and when the next copy was made it did not pick up all the changed files. Consequently we've had staff and students this week emailing and knocking on our door asking why edited files in the last week of term haven't appeared in OneDrive or SharePoint and why huge areas of their data have just not been migrated!! We were told by the company assisting that this is quite normal ! And that there are no logs or error reports created during the migration to pinpoint any data that fails to migrate. Is this right?
  15. I think you'll find we can be https://www.balcarras.gloucs.sch.uk/page/?title=OFSTED&pid=13
  16. We beat you on age of both of those metrics but because we are "outstanding" I'm guessing we will miss out
  17. Our logons immediately after a restart around 1 min 20 seconds but this reduces to 25 seconds if the PC has been on for a while. I'm guessing this is normal as the Sophos AV and other services are still "readying" themselves?
  18. Great news you've fixed your issue. I'll see if we have anything similar lying around.
  19. I've had a bit of leave will touch base with the technicians today and report back later in the week.
  20. Sophos is definitely the cause of our slow logons after a reboot. They have taken countless logs and debug data and remoted in twice to see the issue, but so far no fix. Only happens on PC's which we in-place upgraded to 24H2 from 23H2.
  21. Working on my budget submission for 25/26. Our total PC number is around 840 and previously we've kept around 70 low usage devices out of warranty, and replaced all other's when their 5 year warranty comes to an end. This meant purchasing around 150 new each year and by doing this we kept the out of warranty % around 8% Now budgets are tight I'm going to look at keeping around 120 devices out of warranty and replacing 1/6th of those remaining, giving a replacement number each year of 120. If my analysis is correct this gives us in the region of this % of PC's out of warranty each year. 25/26 31% 26/27 29% 27/28 38% 28/29 38% 29/30 25% 30/31 29% Not ideal compared to what we're used to, but how does it compare to others? Thanks.
