EU agrees directive that will force Apple to change iPhone charging port

UNIVERSAL serial bus - gods; if only it was... -
Actually, what I am doing now is looking for a new observer. Not heard yet what he did, but it involves a few broken ribs and £16000 of written-off, 6 month old, BMW. Which must be considered a good result really.

Being an old fart, I had my mid-life crisis 11 years ago! I did the "direct access" training (having ridden 5or so years as a yoof). Cuts out a lot of fiddling around with licence classes. I'm now doing IAM training. Struggling to unlearn the instincts, so I can be more 'positive and confident' with inputs.

Sound system for a small school hall...

Terrible idea to have the speakers at the back! A wired connection will almost always be a better solution than Bluetooth or other wireless connection. -
Sound system for a small school hall...

It REALLY isn't a case of looking at the rating and getting an amp to match the number. A 65W Yam amp is probably enough for most uses in a primary, unless there's lots of "dance" lessons in there. -
I see you are sorted, but a couple more to look at:- https://wego.here.com and the app I've got on my tablet at home that I can't remember the name of. It allows you to click waypoints, and calculated walking distance based on that. I'll try to remember to update later.

Those who had to use Ricoh machines here hated them with a burning passion. I don't know what the beef was with them, but we went back to Canon after a short foray. This was some time back; things may have changed.

Not sure if it does exactly what you want, but ID3-tagIT would be worth a look.

Might be worth considering which language to use. Simplified English, Emoji, Russian or Chinese...

'Extend' Login Screen black on secondary monitor
Andrew_C replied to Warwick_Tech's topic in Windows 10
One of my monitors comes 1/2 on. Left hand side of monitor shows left hand half of the image. It confuses ME! -
Network? Phone? I'M ON A BUS!! Yes, I know some now offer WiFi.

IF there is something under the board to decode traffic, I'd guess and IP controlled relay. EDIT - misread the bit about being on a bus. I had missed the 4wheeled context. Switch for something.

That narrowly avoided being a dreadful pun...

Old fashioned film. The chances of finding working digital systems to play today's media in 100+ years are vanishingly small.

Tennis (mouse) elbow and 'ergonomic/upright' mice...
Andrew_C replied to Koldov's topic in General Chat
Much to the confusion and disgust of anyone else who tries to use my desk, I use a track-ball thing. I alternate with ordinary mice every so often, and it has definitely kept carpal tunnel at bay. -
'Rivers' and the sequels have been described as 'A grown up Harry Potter joins the Met'. Not to say they are anything children's booish, but it isn't that far from accurate. A good read, not gotthe latest yet. The novellas and picture books? A bit light really.

It is on order, but I'm away so I don't know if it has arrived...

Coronavirus: General discussion (see opening post for rules)
Andrew_C replied to Dos_Box's topic in General Chat
I'm in Italy. No idea what the country's numbes are, but mask wearing is better than at home. Using the local train a lot; the only ones not masked are the ' too cool for school' yoof. Same for shops and museums etc. -

If you have been following the ZOE study, they have been trying for just shy of 2 years to get the Govt to accept that their list of symptoms was wrong. -
Running your servers - the cost of electricity vs cloud hosting

Yup. Or in a separate enclosure. -
Running your servers - the cost of electricity vs cloud hosting
Andrew_C replied to localzuk's topic in General Chat
It isn't a circuit breaker. Just a sensor. So MCBs on everything, and add those on circuits you want to monitor. But 'most schools have power monitoring' anyway, so you don't need to add it. -

Or, alternatively, someone is talking out of their hat. (again)
