I've not tried the plugs (yet) but I'm finding Drayton Wiser as a heating control quite good. Just installing TRVs all around to cut the temps in rooms not occupied all the time.

OR... And this is one we did here 20+ years ago; fit a couple of "delay on" relays to the final circuits. We found that the trips were happening up stream of the local breaker board.

Inrush is actual current rather than leakage. This can be very high for an IT suite as all the capacitors in the power supplies charge up on the first cycle. This can cause tripping. Again - the right answer is to split the load over more than one circuit.

I'd guess that you've not lived in a house with forced air heating. It isn't all that it is cracked up to be. Stratification is a real issue.

That ONLY works if the paths go where you need to go (which roads do already) and are sufficiently used/overlooked for people to feel safe on them. MrsC lived on an estate built in the 70s with meandering paths to front doors, and no pavements alongside the road. People just walk along the road, and use the back door for everything.

Funnily enough, I looked at whether there are systems to run underfloor "in reverse". Short answer - yes; long answer - only if installed as such. You need better zoning, condensation prevention, and about twice as much pipework. So not retro-fittable.

Not 'phantom power' you need. You need a 'Direct Injection' box, which _may_ be powered by phantom from the mixer, or batteries. Some are passive.

Keep the windows and blinds closed on the sunny side, open up once the sun is off the windows (or ground just outside). I've put solar blinds on the bedrooms facing west - made a big difference.
