    Now obviously that edit disables Google update altogether. Can I edit it so that it only disables it on installation? We would rather it update automatically when on the machine, saves us a lot of work of having to keep updating it. Thanks Tom

    Hi, I have done a search but can't find an answer to my query. At the moment we install Google Chrome to our main ICT Rooms in the school. We do this using the Enterprise Standalone MSI and apply it using Group Policy. The problem is ... on install it hangs on the "Installing Managed Software Google Chrome". It does install eventually but does put a lot of time on top of our build process. I know a few other people have experienced this problem, but does anyone have a solution to make the install time shorter? Many Thanks in advance Tom

    If it needed updating if I understand the way that you want to do it correctly wouldn't you have to modify it on ever single machin, or at least modify it on one and copy and replace the old one on each machine?

    When I first started driving mine about 20 months ago I was paying £150 a month, so not to much different I don't suppose, and I was 17.

    Have you got any pictures of the car at all. To say that I am a mini lover is an understatement and have owned my beloved 'Maria' since I was 12, I have now grown up a little lol and am now 18. Tom

    That is a good price, Network Manager doesn't seem too keen though although they wouldn't take long to upgrade etc. not sure if he wants the hassle. Would be nice though, because as you say they would be fully up to date. Might try and twist his arm though.

    Hi Wes, I was looking at ICT Direct and they seemed like a good company. I was interested in the HP DC7800's that they had, with Core 2 Duo processors, only £150! Which doesn't seem bad, with a 2 year warranty. Cheers Hrrmmm .... that doesn't sound like a bad idea. But if it was going to cost us £150ish per machine then we would probably go for something ready to go, will have a closer look though. Cheers for you help

    Hi, We are going to have to replace some of our ageing computers very soon. As we are very tight on money the Business Manager has put to me the idea about buying reconditioned machines, ex business lease machines etc. Would it be possible to have some of your feedback about this? Also if you think it is a good idea/have done it yourself would it be possible to recommend some companies as I have only ever worked with suppliers such as Stone and Ergo since I started here.     Hi All, I don't know if anyone can help but I am quite desperate for this. I could really do with some firmware for one of the first original RM Interactive Whiteboards. I presume that these were made by Promethean and just re branded. Can't really find anything on the net so wondered if anyone had anything in a archive anywhere etc? Many Thanks Tom

    Ahh right, well fair enough. It was quite an ignorant post by me, as its only what I had heard. But if from your experience they have been fail proof then I will certainly be considering it within school Well i've got the feeling that once i've brought one, and I like it, there is going to be no stopping me.

    That does seem very impressive ... I was thinking from a school point of view as well, but was worried that we wouldn't see a difference with older kit .... but then we've got to weigh up the options. OK so we can get a 30GB SSD for roughly the same price as what you would pay for a normal HDD. But .... a HDD will last for much longer than an SSD, what with the amount of read and writes it would do, downloading profiles etc.

    Yeah I was looking at that ... but I am on a tight budget, I know its something that if I'm doing I might as well do it right, hrmm .... we will see. I will have to have a look at the bank balance lol. But then ..... £66.00 from Ebuyer, with free deliver, might take a bit longer, but if its worth it. [Ohhh £80 with VAT]

    Well .... this has definitely made my mind up I will be buying one in the very near future, once I am conformable that I will also have enough money to last me until the end of the month, as I am on an apprenticeship wage atm.

    Ahhh ryt I see .... Well that is also interesting to know. Looking at the specs of the 3 drives that are mentioned in this thread I would say the access speeds are all quite similar?

    Well that Corsair looks quite appealing to me. Especially as its only £5.00 difference in price.
