Thanks for the link @plexer ... I need to have a read through that though when my mind is more in gear, atm its all one clash of words lol. @sted - It's an 06 Petrol. No it hasn't got the tech pack .. bit of a shame but not essential tbh ... apparently the auto sensing wipers aren't brilliant ... would have liked folding mirrors though .... yeah UKFN is pretty good cheers for the link though. Hrm yeah .. well I've been using the household one, but want one to keep for the car specifically but want to make sure its a good one being as I am quite OCD about it. Oh and well washing it, I spend about two hours each .. One Sunday I did give it a full valet ... including wash, clay, polish and wax which took quite a while. I try and wash it every weekend and make sure that I wax it after I've washed it to help protect what I have done.

Hi All, Looking for an opinion if possible? Being as I have just purchased my first 'new' car as such [actually a month today] ... I want to keep it really clean. Lidls have a pretty decent looking wet and dry vac in on Thursday. Just wondered if anyone had ever purchased one before and could give me a bit of a review on it? When it comes to keeping my car clean I am very picky and almost a bit OCD ... I hate it when all the little bits get stuck in the carpet and wont come out . Does anyone know if the suction on them is any good? This is the vac in question. LIDL Great Britain - lidl.co.uk In the description it says that the suction power is 160 mbar. When comparing to something like a Dyson or a Vax the suction power is quoted as Air Watts .. as far as I know there isn't a way to convert and compare these values? Also if anyone knows of a good vac for this kind of situation, possibly the same kind of design that they could recommend in the same kind of price range? This is my pride and joy in question

^ is it possible for the URL that you talk of. Have used this at home and is pretty good, would like to try it at work but as you say because we are behind a proxy I am having no luck -
During this summer I took the plunge and built a new 2008 server with WDS and MDT to do Windows 7 deployment. Our previous deployment server was a 2003 running WDS. Now the question ... is there an easy way to get our old XP images off the old server into WDS on the new server? Cheers Tom

Hi Guys, I have always fancied having a MK1 (96 - 00) Audi A3 and being as I am 19, if I get one will probably have to get the 1.6 due to insurance. Just wondered if anyone has/had one and could give a personal view on what you thought of it, cost to run, mpg etc ...? And would you recommend it. Depending on circumstance I may be able to afford the 1.9 TDI ... but comments on any engine/model would be appreciated. Cheers Tom

Hi, Sorry for creating another thread but I have done some Googling/searching etc and have just confused myself even more. I have resorted to using MDT for deploying Windows 7, and thank god I did its so much easier. I am using this in conjunction with WDS, but all WDS is really doing is holding the boot image/s that are created by MDT. I would like to specify the name the computer builds as and into which OU beforehand, like I used to using our old deployment server. I have tried to set it by right clicking on the server in WDS going to Properties and on the 'AD DS'. However when the computer builds it does not take this into account .... it tries to build as something like MIMINT etc .... and doesn't specify an OU. Can anyone offer any help on how to specify this beforehand, if not then I will just have to do it manually whilst building, which is time consuming but .... Many thanks in advance Tom

How to buy SSL cert from 123-Reg ?
tomgrindle replied to ihaveaproblem's topic in Internet Related/Filtering/Firewall
Don't know if this helps at all, but we got our certificate for free from JANET I think. Can't remember if we got it free because we are with SWGFL or because we were a school though .... -

From trying it on http://www.myfonts.com/WhatTheFont/ these are the results it supplied. There are 5 matches for the image you uploaded. VAG Rundschrift D Light from URW++ VAG Rundschrift VAG Rounded Light from Linotype VAG Rounded 18 VAG Rounded Light 02390 from Monotype Imaging VAG Rounded VAG Rounded Light from Adobe VAG Rounded Volkswagen Serial from SoftMaker Volkswagen Serial

This website has proved to be quite successful for me WhatTheFont! « MyFonts. Sometimes the automatic identifier isn't brilliant but the the forum is good.

Anyone have any pointers? Not sure why this is not working? Cheers

Nahh we're not using MDT, we are just using WDS with an unattend.xl attached to the image. I have 'set' the settings and they are now all green but the GPO is still not applying :/ . I ran the Group Policy Results Wizard on the computer that I am testing on and the GPO is not showed in the applied or denied GPO fields. Is there something that I am doing wrong or is it because Sevrer 2003 is being used? Below is a screen shot of the settings in the 'Common' tab. Cheers Tom

OK, might be my bad. I have just found this http://www.edugeek.net/forums/windows/61942-fyi-group-policy-preferences-regional-settings.html so I will go away and try it and report back if it doesn't work.

Hi All, Just trying to get a few things sorted for our deployment of Windows 7 this summer. Using a few test machines to try things up and identify any niggles. One that I can't seem to sort is the Regional Settings. Although I set this in the the unattend.xml its not applying properly when someone logs on and is defaulting to US. I have tried setting this as a Group Policy. At the moment all of our servers are 2003 but we use Admin Tools on Windows to connect to AD/GP etc. The way that I have tried is going to User Configuration --> Preferences --> Control Panel Settings --> Regional Options and creating a new 'Regional Options'. When I go to set the options all of them are underlined red, which if I understand correctly means that they will not apply. (See below) It has this on every setting that you can set in every tab. Does anybody know why this is doing it? Is it because we are using Server 2003? Here is a view of the defined settings in the GP if it helps :

Forcing ActivStudio in ActivInspire
tomgrindle replied to garethEds's topic in Promethean Direct Support
I was thinking more of changing the mandatory profile back to a standard one, logging on, making the change, logging off and then changing it back to a mandatory. But either way would achieve the same result I presume ...? -
Forcing ActivStudio in ActivInspire
tomgrindle replied to garethEds's topic in Promethean Direct Support
Just thinking on the top of my head here, but the the easiest way that I can think of is setting it in the profile, if you use mandatory profiles that is? Edit : Ooops, just realised that this is in Promethean Direct Support, hope it was still OK to reply on here? -
Finally received my S3 and very pleased so far. Now is it me being stupid or is there no 'ring ring' ringtone? I can't seem to see one In the list

I have looked and was thinking about it, but if I end up breaking it, its broke. I've then got to fork out for a new one :/ . I would rather pay a professional to do it .. I've replaced screens in a few phones and stuff, like my HTC Wildfire and a mates Desire S ... but we will see ...

Yeah, a few people that I know have had brand new Macs etc on their insurance after they have dropped them. I was quite disappointed lol I still live with the parents so they sort the insurance . Mum was quite disappointed that it didn't cover it either. Something that maybe we will look at when we renew.

Yep, I've sent an email to @Millgate . Almost straight after I done it lol. Apparently our house insurance only covers a computer that doesn't get carried i.e. Desktop. The good thing about that is that Mum and Dad own and run our family coach business. I do all of the IT as well so having @Millgate as a supplier would be good anyway.
