On a mac at the moment but I think you just need to delete the group policy folder on the machines, may be a hidden folder. Normally found in \windows\system32\ Folder is called gpedit or group policy, someone here will confirm.Just delete and reboot.

Similar position as you m8, now Bridgend have disbanded the schools' team things will not be the same, corporate ideals do not fit well into schools.

Technet article "here" about Windows server backup, NT Backup has been replaced in 2008, and looking through a few places the have removed the option for single folder backup

How about logging on as admin and deleting it from C:\Documents and Settings\\Application Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch

Right click on the user, choose exchange tasks and remove mail box/all exchange properties (will be something like that, am going from memory)

Fantastic advice, I love working with the kids/staff and really enjoy my work. 1 extra bit of advice would be if your asked if its possible to do something allways answer YES (within reason) and then google howto afterwards. Being known as someone staff and kids can approach will get you a long way

Sorry to hijack this thread but what about bandwidth issues ? if you have 2/3 virtual servers setup on one physical server how are you dealing with the splitting of a 1gig nic connection ?

Looks like the user has clicked on a pdf document, is there an issue as to where the pdf is saved (temp or otherwise) ?

Edited the batch file (just paths and added "shutdown -r" to the end) and have run it via a login script from a share on a server, works a treat. Thanks

I am finally going to collate all the bits of paper and try and leaver out some of the info I have in my head onto a Network documentation document, will take ages I expect (thats why I been putting it off) What info have you guys n gals put in yours, to what detail ?

AVI's wont play in most dvd players, you will need to convert them into VOB files etc, use Nero or similar and create a video dvd with the avi's, this will allow you to create menu's etc. Bit of a potch for numerous different dvd/avi's though. Put the avi's onto dvdr and tell the kids the will only play in a pc.
