About IA76

  1. Hi We have a Dell T310 server which had 4 x 4GB stick of Hynix HMT351U7BFR8C memory in slots a1 to a4. I added in 2 sticks of the same memory in to slots a5 & a6 but the memory not showing up in idrac, bios or Server 2019. If I swap the memory from alots a5 & a6 the other memory slots are still picked up. Any ideas please as i'm stuck?
  2. Thanks for that. Will give it a try later and hopefully it should work.
  3. I'm not a Mac user so appreciate the help with this. Yes, it does open the username/password prompt when I try and make changes. I enter the original admin username & password and just get the 'screen shake' where it doesn't accept it. The original password was linked to an iTunes account. Is it worth trying to change the password on the iTunes account and then trying logging in with the new password?
  4. The problem I have is that it won't let me change any of these settings without an admin account.
  5. I must have not spotted this option when I did the bind so my last resort seems to be logging in with the original admin account which doesn't seem to be logging in at the moment. I did spot that there was an AD account that had the same username as the original admin account on the Mac. I have deleted the account in AD but still can't login with the original admin account.
  6. Hi I have a Mac on the latest OS that is binded to a Windows domain but I have a few issues. 1) Even if I login with windows domain admin user account I can't make any admin changes in the Mac OS. How can I allow my windows domain admin account to have admin access? 2) How do I login with the original administrator account that is setup on the Mac? When I enter the username and password in the login screen it is not accepting it. If I login with a normal user account I can see the original administrator account in the list of users but it is greyed out.

    Win 10 & SBS2011

    Thanks for confirming.
  8. Hi We are starting to change all our clients to Win10. We have an SBS2011 server and at the moment the only way I can manage Win 10 GPOs on the server is via RSAT installed on one of the Win 10 clients. Is there anyway I can manage Win 10 GPOs directly on the server
  9. I do have Server 2008 but I'm new to it as I'm still learning. Can you give me the path please.
  10. Where are preferences located?
  11. Hi We have Server 2008 and Win 7 clients. Since they have updated to IE10 our proxy settings no longer work. I've done some searching but I'm not sure what I have to do to get 2008 GPO's working in IE10 on Win 7?
  12. Hi If each student has a 'home drive' which is used to stored all their files is it possible to setup remote access so that each user can access the files from anywhere?
  13. Hi The network consists of:- ADSL internet connection No 1 via a Draytek 2820 router ADSL internet connection No 2 via a Draytek 2820 router SBS 2011 server Server 2008 server Phone server 60 IP phone handsets 60 desktops All equipment is connected via unmanaged switched and all DHCP is via Draytek router No1. How would we set this up so that all the internet traffic from the phone server is via internet connection 2 and everything else uses internet connection 1?
  14. Ok, that makes sense. When I use internet on the pc which network card will it use?
  15. Thanks for all the replies but this sounds like the easiest option. So I would change Draytek 1 to give out IPs from 192.168.1.1 - .100 and Draytek 2 from .101 onwards?
