any luck with this? we are having the same problem, we run through a proxy set by our provider, latest version of java update 7 version 9. windows XP IE 8. students get error on page at the bottom of IE and can not press the GO button, it just does nothing. The same machine logged on as me works with no problem so I don't think it is proxy related. Students do have a seperate policy but I am struggling to think of what would actually stop this loading.

This is what the example script says on their website, if changed to yes it mentions that it needs to be run with switches which to me look like they are in the script? the /qn part.

I have deployed the rest of CS6 no problem but this one doesn't seem to want to work.

The repro tech does have her own computer, so you are saying we can do something that will come up on her computer to which she can select to release the job and charge a department?

Hey all, we have just had papercut set up for all the photocopiers. We have a lady who runs the printing room to sort all the photocopies. Is there a way that we can allow teachers to send prints to the photocopiers, and the head of the photocopying room can swiper her card, select the job and release the job which charges the department who sent the print? If that makes sence. To sum it up id like her to be able to release other peoples jobs without having their proximity card.

I'm having a problem where PDF's will randomly not open resulting in adobe Reader crashing instantly. If the user logs off and on again it will sometimes work or sometimes crash again. Reading online a few people seem to have experienced this same problem since installing Adobe CS6 suite which I did about 3 months ago. The fix that people seem to be suggesting is to deactivate the license for the CS6 programs and then reactive. But to do this to hundreds of machines would be a nightmare. Has anyone else experienced this and got a solution? All machines that I know of which are having problems are Windows XP 32bit. Thanks in advance.

we have done that but can we do it so it's legal, at the minute the kindles are sharing 1 purchased book across the kindles.

We have 20 plus kindles now in school. How do you manage them? If you buy a book off the amazon store I take it I need to buy 20 of the books? also do I need 20 accounts one for each of the kindles? If so this must be an absolute nightmare? any info would be much appreciated.

Well we have ab tutor client on all machines so we can control but the actual teacher controller in about 12 rooms. Think it is brilliant in the class room,teachers love it kids don't haha. One problem we experience is if you do a mass uninstall of it or, upgrade it tends to screw around with netlogon service which has happened a few times and we have had to either system restore or if that can't be loaded reimage the machines. you can add policies to block access to websites which is useful and have loggers on machines to pick up key words from a text file that you specify. this then notifies us and the teachers.

SIMS sorted, user accounts, E-mail, Moodle all done.

got any virtual servers? Not a virtual network card or something like that?

or change your pc to a static 169 ip address on the same range then do a ping -a on the ip address and see if it returns a hostname.

does it give you a mac address? you could load up your dhcp scope and try track it from there.

just to be sure there is an even easier way to install windows onto a memory stick. WinToFlash - Install Windows from usb - Home page , also have you had an XP installation on the machine before or is this a complete new machine? If for example you have had XP installed previously on another hard drive or even the same one, you might need to change the sata controller to SATA from IDE.

go into bios and change sata controller from ahci to ide or compatability mode.

i've just bought some foscam branded CCTV cameras, not sure if they do the dome ones but mine was 79.99 and has a great picture in daytime and in night.

we used CCL for a long time as they are about a mile away from us so we could just go collect the odd bits, but we now use aria from manchester Aria PC - Computer Hardware, Components, Monitors.. at lowest prices, the builds they send us are fantastic and the cable management etc is superb and most of all great prices.

No problems here with the S3, when entering the wireless key you can go to show advanced options enter proxy settings and off you go.
