Give this a try..Windows 8 - Fix This app can't open for Built-in Administrator account

we still have java deployed but only the latest releases. Some of our programs require older java and older browsers as the latest browsers block the java applets. We have had to say sorry but we won't be deploying any older versions.

This one is good and only needs the windows setup DVD. It replaces the sticky keys program with command prompt allowing you to use 'Net User' to reset passwords. Windows 7/8 "local" admin password reset - Spiceworks

If you go into the sims mapped drive on the machine, then find the setups folder. Run simsinst.exe to perform a manual install.

would a Junior even know what proxy settings are and why they are used? I don't think i'd of known before I started working in schools. Rather than static addresses leave it to dhcp and and ask if he can demonstrate how to find out the ip address information for the machine.

I don't use the smart apps on my tv anymore. I have an LG but now I have a chromecast and my sky box has Iplayer, ITV player etc.. I don't use it. I find the slow too and the only app of any use was the iplayer. After about 6 months of buying it no apps were updated on the tv anymore.

I notice this is the only hidden share compared to the other shares you have. Could it be a permission issue on the share?

If you pop that URL into a web browser, can you get to the page and login with those credentials? You should then see the files it needs to download?

cable ties work well for us here in terms of theft, I don't think i've had a case of a keyboard or mouse go missing since I started here last year. Most of the time it's just re arranging the keys or physically damaging the mouse. We do have a problem with them kicking the face plates in on the computers and stuffing them with rubbish. We encourage people to lock the rooms but 9/10 this doesn't happen.

one of the teachers at my old school placed his ipad on a street cone whilst doing bus duty, it fell off and got ran over by one of the buses. The screen was broken but I still managed to get all the data off

what ethernet controller is on the motherboard? We have an issue with some stone machines doing the same in one of our rooms and I think it's the onboard controller . Try a NIC just to rule anything else out?

Broadband speed - stuttering YouTube replay
jonnykewell1 replied to speckytecky's topic in Wired Networks
Youtube usually adjusts to your broadband speed to stream in the best quality it can dependent on your bandwidth. Have you checked to see if you have any packet loss? Do a ping to google to see how successful they are. -
I would do it, just to get rid of all the samsung bloatware. I ran it on my S3 and it was great. I've upgraded now and haven't bothered as yet.

probably just a coincidence but since the ebay hack came to light i've had a few attempts on my steam account from Russia and now Turkey. Wonder if it's linked. Sadly I can't change the password on my steam account without having the client installed! annoying

I played this for about 6 or 7 hours at the weekend, it's certainly growing on me, although i'm useless at tracking down who is hacking me. Got mine on the 360.

Tracing connections from patch panels to wall ports
jonnykewell1 replied to Kalny's topic in Wired Networks
We have a tester that plugs into the port and sends out a signal, then you hold your wand next to the cables and it starts to beep when near/next to the cable to make it easier to find. -
Have you tried to disable the wifi adapter and log in? Sometimes I notice wifi takes a long time to connect it sits there with the little circle spinning round. Then once it's connected seems to run better.
