If you are deploying it along with a fresh Windows 7 image make sure that you re-arm office before or after you deploy! Sysprep doesn't change the CMID so KMS sees all the machines as the same ID and doesn't activate.

Can this be deployed easy enough? I've just finished my image for the summer.

I've used Iris before in one of our Primary Schools and we also had a presentation this week from them. Crikey it's expensive for the full secondary school model, i'm not a fan of the subscription idea and the fact we have to now buy Ipads with the system. The ipod touch was more than enough, especially when using external microphones anyway. The camera quality was fine with the ipods we used before. We currently have classwatch and have had no end of trouble. We want to be able to pick clips from a full lesson, but after a couple of minutes we found the lip sync was out and the videos were useless. Will have a look at a couple of the other options that you guys have mentioned though or see if we can build our own version for a fraction of the price.

Are you pushing out the sophos firewall too? If so won't that disable the windows firewall?

Do you have port security enabled on your switches for the MAC addresses of the servers? When you move the VM from one server to the other are you setting the same mac address in the NIC settings?

from Group policy you can try a Group Policy result on a target machine as a staff member. That way you don't need to run it client side with CMD access.

How are you administering the GPO for Ie11? What OS is running on your server?

I too have worked with IDNS. They managed to provide me with a DEP member ID too which might be worth knowing if your going down that route.

In Office 365 go to the Admin page. Then go to Users > Active Users In the drop-down menu choose ‘New view’ from the bottom. Name the view “Staff with Office”. Then lower down under the box for “assigned license” choose the one called “Office 365 Education for Faculty” (not the one mentioning E1 or anything). Go to save at the bottom and it will return you to the users view. From the dropdown menu choose the new view you have just created

All you can do is ask. It might be that PC world buy them off someone else. As long as they have A reseller ID you should be ok.

I think this is one of the reasons wifi and device configurations need to be done in DEP or Apple configurator. Then the apps side can be done through Meraki. The password prompt comes up and I believe users can even delete the Meraki profile?

I'm now approved onto the DEP system, but now i'm having to wait again for a few days before I can turn on two Factor authentication. Frustrating as i've already does this for the VPP and it's technically the same account.

Hi all. I've invited all my user account from meraki for the VPP section. I've logged in and accepted the terms but all users are still showing as "invited" instead of "associated" any ideas?

I'm going through this process at the minute. Got my enrollment id, spoke with apple to answer their questions and now i'm waiting for them to ring the school business manager to probably ask the same questions. Once this is done I should hopefully have access. I too am using Meraki so I will keep an eye on this thread and post any of my findings. I've made made an email account per ipad so that I can make 30 itunes accounts. That way I can do the licencing properly for the apps.

Hello, We have a handful of Samsung ML-2855ND Printers in school. We are wanting to put the latest firmware on to fix an issue we are having with the new Universal drivers. The problem is the printers will not update. I've tried via USB and Network using the "Samsung Firmware Update Utility" and firmware (V1.01.10.39) direct from their website and i've also tried doing it through the web GUI. The firmware is updated to the printer, but then doesn't install it just sits there and does nothing. I've even tried running the program as administrator. After 10 minutes or so I restart the printer and it loads up as before with the same firmware and settings. I've also noticed that the Samsung software detects the printer as a ML-2856 for each of the printers. I'm sure it's just because it uses the same firmware version as that printer but just thought I would mention that too. Anyone else experienced the same problem or something similiar? Thanks, Jonny
