Might like this - APPY Geek The new Sony camera that looks just like lens that are to be used with tablets or smartphones. Look to be rather interesting for the more serious photographer that wants a decent point and shoot, without carrying two big devices.

I bought one of these Anker® Astro3E Mobile Battery Pack 10000mAh External Battery Pack High Capacity Power Bank Charger (Dual 5V 3A USB Output) for Smart Phones, Android Phones, PS Vita, GoPro; iPhone 5, iPhone mini (Lightning Cable not Provided), iPhone 4S, iPad 3; Sams to conquer the battery life and need for power. Its excellent and even if I get a phone with a removable battery again, I'll more than likely not buy a 2nd battery for it, but use this or similar. Unless you really want 4G and possibly a bigger screen, I'd go for the N4. As has previously been said, its dead easy to root and software updates within a week of Google releasing it. Be warned though, if you are thinking you can buy a cheap N4 from Google once the N5 is out, then you will most likely be mistaken. The old nexus could not be bought from Google once the N4 was released.

Nice idea, but Tiles last a year and then need replaced, and doesn't appear to have an android/windows/Blackberry app. I inherently don't like companies that fail to be multi platform. They are also limited by range. So if you left your valuable thing in a cafe/friends house/ cinema, once you are 50-150 ft away then you wont know where it is.

[android] Android 4.3 released for Google Nexus devices
arwen replied to Arthur's topic in Mobile Devices & Tablets
Depends on my signal. Poor signal area I'll get 2hrs screen time max. Good signal area/wifi I can get about 4. The Qualcomm Snapdragon BatteryGuru app works quite well at improving batter stats if you are not rooted. Edit; Updated my Nexus 4 last night to 4.3. Running noticeably quicker. And seems to run cooler under heavy load than it used too.- 11 replies

Life doesn't have a report abuse button. If you suffer abuse that you deem is too much then you inform the police. What needs to change is the fact online abuse is not seen as "real" by the courts in many cases. Or, if they acknowledge it, it is not seen on the same level as harassment offline. As many people have said, twitter has had a report button for ages. If you use a third party app (like many do) then this might not show any more.

Last night I made pasta with "Chicken tonight" Spicy Mexican sauce and grilled some salmon I had in the freezer. Was ace and I've just had the left over pasta for my lunch. Toast and super noodles or just a massive bowl of rice with black pepper and soy sauce are my normal end of month dinners.

The best BBQ I've ever had was a large firepit style one, with a grill on a chain that you can lower over it and stop at various heights. Cost about £15 from lidi one year. Can get loads of food on it, cook things slowly or quickly with ease, and it tastes excellent. Those big fancy things with control knobs are just outside cookers imo, not real BBQ's...

Another vote for these.... I have dozens of schools with these in every classroom. They used them for about 3 weeks solid and loved them. Now I'm lucky if I see one or two on a month. They work great. Nice quality and are not too expensive, so not much of a waste of money. They academy I work in built their own using really nice HD web cams and Ikea desk lamps, for about 20% of the price of a comparative visualiser.

http://www.boomerangrentals.co.uk/membership_packages_v6.php Looks promising, but that plus NetFlix is more expensive than my current Love Film package (£11.50) :-/ Anyone delt with them before?
-
Ahh!! I read the stuff last night and nowhere I could find said that :'(
-
Only to new subscribers... for now. If you are already on a package that includes games then you are fine. But it doesn't bode well. I only really stay with Lovefilm over Netflix because of the games.

I tend to shower in the evenings as I like to let my (very long) hair dry itself. A decent wash in the morning is just as good as a shower in my opinion if you are just wanting clean.

Also worth noting that if you get a puppy from a decent breeder or a pet shelter, many of them demand that you get your dog neutered at the right age. Good breeders want control over their breeding lines. Some breeders will allow you to not neuter, but will not let you breed from the dog without their consent. Shelters are wanting to limit the increase of unwanted dogs as much as possible. In many breeds neutering also reduced the chances of medical complications later on. There are many husky type rescues out there, but I am refraining from linking you to them as personally I think its wrong that you seem to only want a dog on looks alone. If you want a husky, done the research and decided that yes you can look after it and keep it healthy and happy. Why are you so specific on looks? Maybe that is just me though and my love for all animals, pretty or otherwise.
-
Please don't buy a dog on looks alone. They are not a fashion accessory. Huskys and Mal's are both breeds that require specific care to keep them healthy and happy. Read up on breed types and see what suits your life style. IF you are a highly active family that has a large husky proof area to let the dog roam free, or have the means to properly exercise an adult of the breed while keeping it on a lead then yes, a husky or a mal might suit. If not then be prepared for howling and destruction. There are loads of breeds out there, at least one to suit every life style. Just read up on them.

A Song of Ice & Fire / Game of Thrones Discussion - SO VERY MANY SPOILERS
arwen replied to sonofsanta's topic in General Chat
Exactly what I have been thinking. The whole Eddard is completely flawless, but has an illegitimate son has never sat right with me. It makes far more sense that Jon is his nephew and he has been protecting him, mostly from Robert probably. Nymeria has been references multiple times, people talking about a massive pack of wolves taking over the river lands. Almost like she is gathering an army to protect the north? She was named after a warrior queen who rallied war ships... I reckon Arya will learn of her warg powers while following the house of Black and White, see what is going on back home through the eyes of her wolves and travel back, possibly with Danny. -
The fact he gets so upset at killing a "baddie" and not at probably killing hundreds doesn't make sense to me.
-
I loved the first half, all the back story bit. Then it got to bar room brawl like fighting with added flying and explosions and I got bored. Also, he gets upset at killing someone but not for destroying multiple buildings full of people? Doesn't make sense to me...

Are you looking for a replacement or a spare? I've got replacements from Mobile Phone Batteries previously and not had a problem with them. Customer support is good too, as they sent me the wrong battery once but it was very quickly swapped over with the correct one. If just a spare I would recommend one of these instead - Anker® Astro3E Mobile Battery Pack 10000mAh External Battery Pack High Capacity Power Bank Charger (Dual 5V 3A USB Output) for Smart Phones, Android Phones, PS Vita, GoPro; iPhone 5, iPhone mini (Lightning Cable not Provided), iPhone 4S, iPad 3; Sams I use it all the time for various devices.

Can't say I have, but if you are looking for a wee laptop, I picked up one of these a few weeks ago for £300. Pretty pleased with it, Win8 has been my only real bug bare. Battery life is 3hrs though, as its only a 4 cell.

You have just made my day! Lack of a gaming pc meant I couldn't even apply for closed beta... :'(
-
This is mine It also has a lid and acts as a flask for those really cold days when I'm the only one in the school..
-
In that case… another option is to phone up and see if you can add a second contract into another one that one of your household has? T-Mobile have been ringing me up offering it. Not sure of the deals though.

Have you thought about getting a really good SIM only deal and just buying a phone SIM free? For a one of cost the Nexus 4 at £280 is a steal. Say you keep it for 24months, phone = £11.66 per month. 3 are normally pretty good at giving great SIM only deals out to existing customers, just keep at them ;-) If not, then the Sony phones do seem to be ok, but I've heard quite a few folk having to send them away for repair quite a bit. So long as its at least dual core and 1GB of ram you will be fine I reckon.
-
Just checked mine too, no problems. Have you set up 2FA or not out of curiosity?
