    Monitors

Ok, kinda boring topic but my head is getting sore from looking at the vast array on amazon. I'm looking for a 22-24" HD monitor for playing games on (currently from my laptop, but eventually from a desktop once I get it built) Ideally a matt screen and HDMI port as the vga port on my laptop doesn't have screw holes and is prone to falling out. Also I'd like it if it was height and tilt adjustable, this is the part I'm having problems with find one. Looking to spend about £100ish on it. Too much to ask? Anyone any recommendations? Found this one - http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B008I39WXC/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE which I may end up getting, but wondering if anyone knows of any like it that are height adjustable ?
  2. I wanted the physical game rather than a download. Physical game is £40 quid from Amazon. Imp edition was £90 :-( Can get Horses in game, it was the book, map and statue I wanted :-)
  3. We tended to explore as much as possible and complete as many quests in each area. Unfortunately, our first play through with Khajiits, my main quest got stuck and I could never board the boat to the main island. Got to level 6 with these before we gave up/ got bored. :-( We then created Argonians and the quest, although still bugged at times, completed and we got the main island. Left them at level 10 last night after much exploring and killing of big Starship trooper like Arachnids Found that quite a few level 6-10 quests were bugged so much they could not be completed. Which was frustrating, but to be expected I suppose. @Garacesh My first character I got caught out with getting stuck with the bow in the tutorial. I thought the collect all would pick up all the weapons... Luckily I play with either a bow or dual daggers, so wasn't to much of an issue for me, but can see a lot of people being tricked by it. The escaping from prison is standard opening for Elder scrolls it seems, it makes kinda sense when you keep playing.
  4. So what did people make of the beta and TESO in general? I was pretty impressed with it. Only had a few quests along the lines of "kill so many of x monster and return to me". Group play is a bit iffy, some quests you can do together and others you have to do yourself, so a bit inconsistent. Quite a few bugs in the beta version, but as so many people have said on the beta forums, what we played was not any where near the final release apparently. What impressed me most however was the fact it is perfectly playable on a 3rd gen i3 laptop with Intel HD4000 integrated graphics. I played the game a lot since Friday night and my wee laptop coped amazingly well. Ok the graphics are not impressive and immersive as a dedicated card would bring. But it is perfectly playable, very little dropped frames or lag. I was also outputting the resolution (1920x1080) to a TV and running a google hangout at the same time. Preordered the game now, so would be interest if people want to set up an edugeek guild or such. :-)
  5. ahhh red!!! I still like my red Nexus 4 though... ;-)
  6. In my pockets - Mobile/BlackBerry Keys with wee screwdriver bit. In my bag - Laptop various lengths of network and power cables Full set of screwdrivers Spare Mouse Some USB to PS2 converters, Asset Labels and a pair of socks... In case I get cold ;-)
  7. Ooo awesome. I'll give it a go!
  8. Distance - 38 miles on a normal day. If I have to go to meetings (regular occurrence) it can be anything from 60 to 85 miles one way. Takes around 55 min to get to the school.
  9. My old Symbian phone done it too. The practice is older than android's. Simple fix though if you prefer it the other way
  10. No issues here, used slightly more battery on 4.4. But since the 4.4.2 update that's sorted. I do have a faulty power button, which is more of an issue considering LG have never got the things in stock!

    Ill people

wish it was that simple ;-) @localsuk - I've been the same. I've had a nearly constant cold since September, with a horrible bout of sinusitis in November that stopped me driving for a week. Some weeks the cold eases off, but always lingers around. This latest thing is by far the worst though!

    Ill people

There is a horrible virus going around this school just now, sore heads that last days and generally feeling lethargic. Mine started on Monday :-(
  13. Nexus 5 16GB sim only deals & offers | The Carphone Warehouse Nexus 5, collection in store or free next day delivery. It is however £329 for the 16GB version...
  14. Anker 5V / 5A 5-Port Wall Charger Could charge 5 from one wall socket, with this. I use quite a few anker products. Great company and if you ever do have a problem with their products (rarely) they are quick to sort it.
  15. Yup, this has to be complied with. Sometimes it does take some nagging from the employees to get it enforced sometimes. I've worked in a place that thought it was perfectly acceptable for us to work on laptops for 7-8 hours a day with no screens. (they provided "docking stations" but only connected keyboards and mice to them). Trust me, it is one of the most uncomfortable ways of working, hunched over a laptop screen for hours at a time. Took us moving offices to get screens put on all the hot desks and connected them to the docking stations. Much nicer and more comfortable to work with,
  16. swift Keyboard and Swype Keyboard are two that I have used previously. Both do the old phone style pad aswell I'm sure.
  17. 87% northern for me. But I am actually from further north than it can go, so meh. All southerners to me :-p Chips, cheese and gravy are pretty common here too. Was lunch during my school years. Gravy was added when it was cold out!

    INGRESS

I go through phases of playing it. Mostly when it is a nice day on a sunday and I fancy a walk around town. Or when I have an hour or two to kill in Glasgow/Edinburgh/London as there are loads of portals in a dense area in those cities.
  19. Ignore the fact it is from pc world, this looks pretty nice. ACER Aspire E1-572 15.6 I love my little Acer (not that model) , battery life isn't the best but I have never had a problem with it. As for macs.... my opinion is their build quality has dropped so much in the past few years that they do not last as long as they used too. Better buying a laptop every 3-4 years rather than hoping a mac will last 6 like it used to.

    Movember

There is a serious lack of pictures in here.... ;-)
  21. Yup. First went to the doctors about it when I was 19, cause I had been suffering for a few years. 4 years and 5 doctors later they told me it was Fibro and there is nothing they can do. Joys...
  22. On the Nexus 4 the notification light is just below the screen, in the centre. Hardly noticeable untill it flashes so guessing the N5 will have the same.

    Movember

Mind and take plenty of photos guys, we do like to see how they mature ;-)
  24. If you've set your torrents up to automatically adjust their up/down speed then they could well be hogging it. Try limiting both at various speeds to try and get a happy medium? Not sure why your other devices would be unaffected however however...
