^^this ^^ If you want/need more power, spend £21 on an anker . Over 6 times the power capacity as the power bar, not much bigger and 18 month warranty with one of the best customer focused companies I have ever done business with. I've had my older generation version of that for around 2 years, still quickly recharges my Nexus 5 around 3.5 times before it needs recharged.

Great news! Hope it all goes smoothly and seamlessly Good Luck!

This.... I normally vote SNP as they are very good at dealing with things in my area. But since the whole referendum malarkey and not answering vital questions, I'm not sure now. Feeling mildly better that Alex Salmond is not (meant to be) in charge now however. Once thing I do hate about politics is how they keep telling us to vote for them cause all the other parties are rubbish/lie to us/will drown us all in debt. They are all as bad as each other in certain respects. I vote for the least worse for my area.

These pop up quite regularly, but get taken down after a day or so. Last months was you searched for "lego" and the first one was a lego bondage scene, complete with whip! it lasted a day before it was removed.

I grew up on the other side of the country from where I am now ;-)

My results were about as expected - Apparently I would be best off living in West Lindsey with a 82% life satisfaction. Although Dundee got 77% so I'm not bad living here either! I find it quiet interesting that my "Worse place to live" (Newham) life satisfaction was 69%, I would have expected my worse place to be much lower than that!

I trialled the venue Pro's at the end of last year. Over the course of 4 months I had 3 of them. Not one of them were up to standard in my mind. They all overheated, fans on full blast every other minute, they would frequently crash when you undocked them or added/removed the keyboard part. The screen would occasionally not respond to touches (yet the keyboard/touchpad would work) Personally, if you have need of a windows tablet and have the money then always go the Surface Pro route. I have yet to see anything come close to it's robustness and general non-annoyingness.

You can also watch it all here - Watch Our Broadcasts Live Each Month | SloohSlooh If you are going to have problems, when it will be down to bandwidth. How many teacher pcs will be streaming and what is your connection like? Alternatively, can the school not gather groups of people together, like in an assembly hall or canteen and show it there?

The only time I have replaced them was on an a really old fridge in the flat I used to rent (landlord wouldn't buy a new one...). On that the seals were just stuck on with what appeared to be very strong double sided tape. Was similar to installing draught proofing around windows. Pretty straight forward.

Keep your head up and looking where you want to go. Don't look down unless you feel like having a wee lie down ;-) Keep your upper body relaxed and don't death grip the bars. You don't actually have to hold on, more like just keeping your hands resting on the bars. Otherwise you end up "fighting" with the bike when you try to turn, or veer off to the side when you want to go straight. Using your hips to turn the bike when you want to turn also works wonders. It helps a lot if you already drive and know how a clutch works. Have a look at the DVLA youtube videos for an idea of what you will be doing - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCpB-1KQc7U11jl-7YzedxFQ Learn 2 ride videos are also pretty good too - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCFaDerm3Qe4SzAJreaYmL6Q

You are better off getting software to magnify the screen. That way the user can tailor it to their needs. Have a look at Dolphin software - Dolphin Computer Access - Screen Reader and Magnification Software THe users I have installed it for love it.

I have to agree and say homework every night for kids below 10 is a lot. When I was in primary school in the 90's I got home once or twice a week and it would take around 40min tops. We might have also gotten a reading exercise, but I cannot really remember them as they were never classes as homework in my mind, I have always loved to read. Young kids should be mostly free from school when they are not physically there in my opinion. Most of my social skills came from going to beavers/cubs/scouts, brownies and playing various sports. If I always had 30min of homework to do each night then I would have struggled to go to these things and also get quality family time as well. But then, I don't have kids so my opinion probably doesn't count for much.

Lol yes, I meant sequel. Spelling is not my forte.

I know this is gonna sound terrible.... but I really hope this puts him off doing more movies. I really do not want the squeal to Blade Runner getting made. They should just leave that excellent movie alone! Glad it wasn't too serious for a plane crash at least.

Very well done! A December Marathon sounds rather painful... breathing in very cold air can do all sorts of damage :-/ Where abouts is it? As for me, I seem to be able to lose 2-3kg easily one week, then put it on again over the next 2 weeks or so. Even though I don't think I am doing anything different. Thinking I am going to need to start writing everything I eat so I can see what is going on. Got my first physio assessment tomorrow so hopefully they can give me some exercises to fix my ankle and tell me if I should be staying away for certain activities that make it sore currently.

I'd quite like night mode all the time...

Lemon and pepper chicken with veggie rice is one of my favourites. Not particularity quick, but prep time is low and simple. The time is mostly waiting for the chicken to cook. For the Chicken - Simply slice up a few lemons (about 1cm in thickness) spread some tin foil on a backing tray (don't tare it from the roll just yet) and lay half of the slices on it. Sprinkle a little crushed black pepper corns over them then place strips or whole chicken breasts on top. Place the rest of the lemon on top followed with some more pepper if you like. You can also add some butter if you like. Take the roll of tin foil and put it over the chicken and create a parcel. Keep it reasonably thigh fitting, folding all the ended over so no juices escape. Chuck in a preheated oven at 170°C for about 50min to an hour. For the Rice - (I cook this in a rice cooker, but you can do it in a normal pot too) Put in the rice and water according to the instructions on the rice packet. Cut up some veggies that you have. I normally use mixed peppers, sweet peppers, spring onions, sweetcorn. If you put red onion in it turns the rice a lovely shade of pink! Put them all in the pot and cook according to the instructions on the rice, you may need to add some more water half way through depending on the veggies. Just check it after 10min to see if it is starting to stick to the bottom. If you are using frozen veggie then use a little less water to begin with. Stir Fry is always good. Normally supermarkets have deals on noodles, mixed veg and sauces for around £3-5. Just remember to heat the wok up properly before hand, and be light on the oil when frying the meat. I also use fish in my stir fries. Can make a healthy dinner in around 15min. Pasta Bake : Useful for lunches. Put dry pasta in a casserole/lasagne dish along with a jar of sauce (loads available in all supermarkets. Found around the pasta aisle). 3/4 fill the jar with water and add that. You can then add extra veggies (peppers are a favourite of mine) and some meat. Bacon, precooked sausages, already cooked chicken (leftovers from another dinner?). Mix it all up. Very few bits of pasta should be showing above the water line, if they are then they will burn. Stick in a preheated over at 190°C for 45min or so. checking after 20min to give it a stir. It is ready once the pasta is soft. If you are feeling "bad" you can add a layer of grated cheese 10min before the end and it makes a lovely topping. Couscous with anything makes for a quick meal or lunch time snack on its own.

House work to keep you active at home without it costing you a penny. Set aside 30min to an hour each day for house work, I tend to do this the moment I get in as I then like to relax after dinner. Tasks that only take 30 min or so include - Hand washing dishes, Hoovering/cleaning the floor of living room and kitchen (do the other rooms another day) Give the living room a decent tidy up, getting rid of junk mail and stuff that accumulates over the week. Gather clothes and bath towels for washing, put them in and hang them up afterwards, Clean the kitchen worktops and cooker, Clean out the fridge and disinfect the shelves, If you have a pet then clean their stuff, Clean the bathroom, Wash your car/bike Cut the grass/clean the slabs/patio/path When you are at work, standing while on the phone is a good one. Also, just because a task can be done remotely doesn't mean it has to be done remotely. Get up and go see people when they have a problem sometimes. Go for a walk during your lunch break (make time to have a lunch break in the first place!)

Whats the worst present you received when you left a work placement
arwen replied to haldarulon's topic in General Chat
I've receive a very nice Fossil watch, perfume, chocolate and some flowers when I left my apprenticeship post after 3 years. When I left my last place after 4.5 years I said I did not want anything. I just wanted to go quietly. They still got me flowers, sweeties (since they knew I prefer them to chocolates) and a £100 check! Schools.... they never listen ;-) Sphero looks cool, but I have no idea what I Would use it for either! -
If you have OneNote installed, the quickest way to do a screen grab/capture is pressing windows+S

I've got a 3/4 year old Sony Bravia 40". It is fantastic, sound quality is acceptable for the thinnss of the tv. It worked great in my small living room, and then my large bedroom when I moved to a flat share. But now I am in a house with a reasonable sized living room, I feel it is on the small side. So have a think of how far away from it you will be sitting and compare it to the guide - We sit around 8-9' away from the TV. It is 1080 40" one and I think we could do with a bigger one.

If it was just a scratch I think you are fine. Dent or more then insurance probably has to know. Sorting a scratch shouldn't be too costly, unless you scratched it right down the side, on many body panels.
