  1. What kind of journeys are you doing in it? Is it mostly short (less than 10miles) or around town driving all the time? It could just be gunk clogging your injectors. Buy a bottle of Injector Cleaner (Redex is the one I use, about £4 a bottle) and chuck that in the tank when you next fill up. Also, try not to run the tank to the bottom, fill up the tank when the light comes on to stop the gunk at the bottom of the tank getting pulled through the engine. Reving the car is also a way to clean it, or taking it for a long run (bit excessive, but I drove mine to Leeds last time it was doing this, it stopped juddering after 100 miles or so) My car suffers this a lot now, since I reduced my daily commute form 38miles each way, to 5miles each way. Sometimes the engine light flashes on, other times is doesn't. The Service will show up anything wrong with the air intake (hissing) but if there is no lights on the dash is probably isn't serious.

    Overclockers Rig

So what are you actually going to be doing with this pc? If it is just gaming then if you have a decent graphics card already, save yourself by sticking an i5 in rather than the i7. Later on you could upgrade it when their price comes down. But in my opinion, if you have a decent graphics card and your RAM isn't topping out then there is next to no difference in the CPUs while gaming. I also agree on no need for optical drive. In my new build all the storage I have is 260GB SDD and that is it. Might eventually put in another if I need it, but I doubt it. No optical drive as I cannot remember the last time I used one.
  3. In my experience, I've found that those people who have limited mobility in their hands/arms do much better with a joystick (think, flight simulator style) than a roller ball because they can grip it. I would definitely recommend a dedicated pc to her, rather than sharing the school pcs. That would be the limit of my input on this... I am far more experience with visually impaired/blind users. Dragon naturally speaking is however, great once it is trained. could be that spending the time and effort doing it now would save a lot of work later on.
  4. Echoing what everyone else seems to have said, desktops are way less hassle than teacher laptops. If you do go down the route of docking stations however, in all the docking stations I have used, Dell ones are the most robust and reliable, followed by HP and Lenovo. The Toshiba ones I used were dreadful for having driver issues and failing constantly. Also a flaw on all of them, people like to drop their laptop on them, then press down while trying to find the holes for it to attach to. Usually damaging the port in the process. They are quite robust, but if people are doing that to them 5 times a day, then expect the port in the laptop and the port on the docking station to be wrecked within the year.
  5. Mine updated the other night as well. Not noticed any drawbacks yet. If anything the apparent connection issue fix has worked, as my phone does not seem to be buffering for as long while streaming music in the car.
  6. My weekend consisted of around 24hrs driving across the country. I do now have a very lovely guy staying with me. So it was all worth it
  7. Sort of glad I didn't get the job in their IT department now! But it is pretty horrible. it was a lovely old building, inside and out. Hoping they can reconstruct that of it they could not save.

    Posture

All the places I have worked have taken it seriously, went someone has pointed it out. So it's not really advertised. But if someone asks for it, or complains about it, it is dealt with. Personally, one of the first things I do when starting a new job is to get them to order me one of these keyboards I've used them for around 12 years now as I get pretty painful wrists/fingers/arms if I do not. I've tried various mice and trackballs, but find the "ergonomic" ones to be much too big for my hand! So I usually raid the spare mouse box and always end up finding one that fits. Never had a problem with getting a new job to pay up for it either. Could be because it is not that expensive though. Playing with those foam squishy desk toy things helps a bit too I have found.
  9. I am also provisioning. Its currently at 39. Although the drinks and food don't stack from what I see Nephilim? Needing to find more recipes... but if anyone wants food/drink in game, give me a shout. Name is arwen_7 in game. (Also, if you find any recipes that you don't want, can you give me a shout please?) Also do clothing and woodworking. Only researched traits on medium Armour and bow so far however.
  10. If you look a little further down this forum you would see there is a thread about this recently - http://www.edugeek.net/forums/av-multimedia-related/132612-touchscreens-iwb-replacement.html
  11. If Smart notebook is a must, but you like the look of another product, you can get a collaborative license from Smart to legally allow you to use their software on other branded interactive displays. - http://downloads01.smarttech.com/media/sitecore/en/pdf/legal/notebook-licensing-faq.pdf
  12. These are excellent. One of my primary schools have them and they work a treat. And in the long run, are no more expensive and a projector and smartboard when you take in to account for 4-5 projector lamps and the cost of mounting a projector and board. Mount this is exactly like mounting a normal tv on the wall. And once it is up that's it, nothing too it. All the connections are under the bottom lip so easy to get too (maybe a little too easy... kids pulling at them has been known) They come with a 5 year guarantee as well if I remember right, like most smart products. Also, if you want to convince the school to buy them and they are an "eco school" then these tvs are much friendlier to the enviroment, and use up much less power than a projector. Promethean also do them. You could always phone up both companies and try for a trial of them...
  13. I share an office with reception, and two DHT offices have doors that open into the office as well, so things are generally tidy. It does however leak from the skylight... - My desk is at the back, my mid afternoon it usually looks something like this -
  14. Pay day isn't till the 28th for me, I'll put some in the pot then :-)
  15. Ooo nice work Nephilim Do we all have early access then ? I have 3 days worth, but from the 4th to the 21st I probably wont be online too much, other things planned . After that I can play pretty regularly.
  16. The Lumia's are nice, but personally the whole tiles thing for windows phones I hate. The Nexus 5 is really nice, and has an amazing screen in my opinion. And it seems much more robust than my nexus 4...
  17. I feel the same ^^^ :-)
  18. Haggis pasta bake and Haggis pizza. Next on my list to try is Haggis nachos, I'll feedback on those! Cheese on toast with salad cream is lovely. I thought it was a normal thing but have been told since it's weird. Also, adding a dark chocolate bounty bar to most curries is awesome.
  19. @Garacesh It's £30 from amazon. Thats where I have bought it from
  20. Ooo nice! I'll go sign up

    Monitors

Cheers, I'll have a look at them :-)
  22. Ahhh Avalanche
  23. Come up with better then, rather than just stupidness. You tried to kill even the idea of a guild by saying it would be pointless and insinuating noone on here was worth teaming up with. It's your choice to be in a guild or not.
  24. Just a note - anyone who preorders the game can play any race in any faction - http://elderscrollsonline.com/en-uk/preorder It is why I preordered it instead of waiting till i build my gaming rig. As for a guild name, I'd quite like it to have a geeky reference. "The Imperial March" keeps popping into my head, but then it would be better if we all were Imperials... "The Tamriel Mining Corporation" If we want to be a crafting kinda guild ? "Elsweyr Smugglers" If we just want to sneek around and do what ever?
  25. Well @mrjonesybop and myself will be playing it over the weekend for a while. Would be interesting in grouping up for group events and such if anyone will be around? Playing on the Europe server for a change, mostly likely as Khajiits :-)
