I just use remote desktop. I use RDC on my corporate laptop to connect to the curricular pc under my desk. The laptop is connected to a port replicator which has my keyboard and mouse and a monitor as well. Works a treat, and you can copy and paste between them! :-)

I've had a read through her blog, I really like it. Rather weirdly though, I had the exact same trays when I was at primary school, 18 years ago....

A list of features removed from Windows in Windows 8

It does sound pretty whiny to me too! This caught me eye though - Now I may just be a bit thick this morning, but what are the advantages of running IE in 64 bit rather than 32? -
For comparison on what's eating the battery life... I drove 440ish miles on friday, phone plugged into car stereo and playing music through it (Winamp app), also using Google Navigate (GPS on), with the display always on, but 'dimmed' when no immediate instructions. The phone was also plugged into my car charger which is rated at 500mA (No idea if it is, I don't have a thingy to check). It took a grand total of 250 miles before it died! On the return journey I didn't use it for music, only Navigate, got out the car at home and it was still fully charged. No idea how playing music can use up all the juice!!

With mobile data turned on, wifi and BT turned off, in a decent signal area, and various apps syncing back and forth at various intervals I can get around 17hrs out of my GS2 with the standard battery. When is bad signal areas this can drop to 10hrs or less. But with data turned off, like I did at the weekend cause I was in Hay (terrible signal) it lasted me from 3pm on Friday, till around 4pm on Saturday with no problems. It was still at 40% charge when I plugged it in on the Saturday. During this time I checked twitter, emails etc every few hours, then turned data back off. I was also texting frequently and 3 or 4 short phone calls. So the batteries can manage to power the phone for extended periods of time, it just communication that eats up the battery power. Better management would probably solve it I think, rather than just constantly increasing batteries.

[android] On{X} - new toy to play with

Looks good, but I am turned off by the mandatory Facebook log in and, to a lesser extent, the fact its a Microsoft thing... -
I for one would quite like IT in schools to be inspected from a technical point of view (rather than a user point of view). It might give some schools the prod they need to update their equipment/software, when they don't listen to our advice.

I look forward to the fact it seem to be a women's decision if a man-cave gets built or not... ;-) My future house might need 2!

I wouldn't rule out the Samsung GS2 right now... The S3 is out pretty soon. I imagine the S2 prices will be dropping. I got my S2 in January for £20 per month as an upgrade with a one off fee of £40. But yea, the HTC V one if you you cant get a good price on the S2.

That ^^ happened to me :-( But I do use a bow a lot, so my archery is pretty high. Killing giant and mammoths are good ways to level it up, just find a high place to shoot from that they cannot easily get to and bingo! Levelling up gets extremely slow from level 45ish+. Took me a good 10hrs to level up from 49 to 50... You can find a 'guide' to levelling (and how it is calculated) here - Skyrim:Leveling - UESPWiki

I think it could be a glitch you two have... The scaling of enemy's levels is different to oblivion. Some dungeons scale with your level some are set at levels. Sounds like you are in a 'set level' dungeon but the normal baddies have matched your entry level (or are the lowest level they can be...) For anyone who is playing on the PS3 and is experiencing the game crashing when you submerge in water, the fix is here - Game freeze after going underwater - Bethesda Softworks Forums

I got ambushed by an elder dragon and a blood dragon just south of Solitude the other night. Summoning some decoys is my plan when fighting more than one, seems to work fine :-) @CAM - I'am a khajit and I'd agree, mind also looks rather skinny! I'am now at level 49, completed the main quests and side stories. Just dungeon delving now and getting my skills up in other trees that I have neglected :-D Long range and sneak attacks seem to make this game pretty easy imo.

You can find my appalling doodles on it too (arwenX7) :-)

Mine can get pretty hot at times too, was good on cold mornings :-) The GT-I9100 version has been shown to run hotter than the GT-I9100G version. So it is pretty normal I think... Mine seems to get hot only if there is something happing for a prolonged period of time. Such as listening to music for hours, or a particularly large up/download.

You could just create a script to do what every daft thing you want (I like the idea of displaying a 'scary' message on E & A's pcs) and reassign the calculator button to run the script.

IE Office Serif Suite Paint.net Audacity Teachers are always on Seemis so seems apt to include it too, and since I am in Scotland we have the joys of 'Glow' to support to!

Ahh do you mean top 5 'problem' software or just what software is installed the most, or what's used the most? Three very different things! (Well here it is :-) )

Have you tried deleteing all your 'saved' wifi information and try again? Solves it every time for me. (Running Cyanogen 7.1 (Android 2.3.7) on HTC Hero) I also occasionally had this issues on running stock 2.1 rom. Seems to just get stuck...

I stupidly didnt bother to look for a SKyrim thread on here... Currently I am a lvl44 Sneeky bow weilding Kajiit that also likes to fight sword in one hand, spells in the other (I have no idea what to call this as its not really dual weilding is it?). Sitting at around 110hrs played (I enjoy just wandering around and talking to people) and found a fair few bugs. Most annoying ones being quest related, like reentering an area restarts a quest you have already done, and cant do again! Also, even though I have completed the Thevies Guild I dont have the trophy for it :-( Also accidently drowned Shadowmere when I was lvl 30ish and he wouldnt respawn untill the other night! Has anyone else fought two blood dragons at once?! I came accross this on wednesday night. Was a bit difficult but eventually managed to bring them both down :-) Oh, and I can confirm that if your sneek is high you can sneek up on dragons relativly easily!

Yay for Ferret power! Glad it all worked out without any chewed cables! :-)
-
I just bought Tetris and Space Physics. Rather strangly I got charged VAT on Tetris but not on Physics!
-
Sounds like it could work. Just dont feed a ferret for that day and put some tasty stong smelling food at the end of the cable run. It should just bolt down it to the food if it's like any other ferret I know! +1 on attaching a camera and recording :-)

arwen replied to Dos_Box's topic in General Chat
