RAID status either on that server or the host if it's virtual?

I don't think it's supported but we use Office 365 here and we've not found any issues yet.

O365 - Group Email Restrictions with AD sync

We're not hybrid but AD Connect synced. So I've always created user accounts in AD but shared mailboxes in Office 365. -
Issue with extended desktops & touch on Smart TV
robyholmes replied to TwistedHelixis's topic in AV and Multimedia Related
You can set which screen is the touch screen using Tablet PC in Control Panel. There's a 'Setup' button on the top if you have a touch screen attached. Open this and the primary display will show first, if this is your teachers display, press enter to skip and on your board, tap the screen and hey presto it's configured. Its a per machine setting so once set all users are correct. Here's a guide which shows it: https://support.ctouch.eu/hc/en-us/articles/115003949829-How-can-I-setup-multiple-touch-screens-in-Windows-10- -
O365 - Group Email Restrictions with AD sync
robyholmes replied to robyholmes's topic in Cloud Services
Do you mean a user or is there a 'Contact' type in AD? With it being a shared mailbox I don't want it to sync to a user as then it'll have a password etc. -
O365 - Group Email Restrictions with AD sync

Oooo I like that. However is that even possible if the account isn't in on-prem AD? I can't see any CN stuff in Azure AD only object ID. -

O365 - Group Email Restrictions with AD sync
robyholmes replied to robyholmes's topic in Cloud Services
I think you've mis understood my request. I have a distribution group which already has a restriction for staff. However I'm trying to allow a Office 365 Sharedmailbox to this 'Authorised Groups/Users' list. Tried this, it allows you to add it but won't save. Looking at the attributes online they all say they need the CN value. -
Hi All, So I have a AD Mail Enabled security group for Year11@ which then has restrictions on to only allow staff to send to it. This works fine but I've run in to an issue where we want to send an email to the group but from a shared mailbox. You can't edit the restrictions online, it tells you to use Active Directory to do this. However the shared mailbox isn't in Active Directory and you need to enter the CN location of the group or user. So it's a catch 22 from what I can see. Has anyone come across this issue? Thanks, Rob

I've had a pair of Doc Martens for a while now and they really are nice. Managed to get them second hand (Hardly warn) for a good price but I'd pay full price when they need replacing. Worth it.

We name our machines to our asset number. It's then visible on the machine for staff to report to us. Although it does mean we have to name them during the MDT process but after that they never get renamed. Never, ever name a machine by it's location, use or staff member. As soon as you do, it's location, use or the staff member will change.

Remember to use the FQDN of the print server. I also don't like doing the 'Delete all, then install' method although it does work. It ends up making logins slower. What I do is for every printer you assign, you create a copy and change your Item Targeting to 'Is not' for example, and set that to delete. This means printers are left installed, unless it needs to be removed. However, by far the best way to go long term, is more to Follow Me queue via Papercut and forgot about targeting printers. So long as your follow me printer is installed your done.

Inserting YouTube Clips in PowerPoint Broken?
robyholmes replied to smarties11's topic in Office Software
You can, but if you hyperlink to the video it leaves PowerPoint and opens a web page. Which not only looks crap but if your presenting in presenter mode (Extended Desktop) then the video opens on your presenter monitor and not on the main slide screen. Plus, why has Microsoft not removed this requirement for a browser they are trying to kill off ASAP. -

robyholmes replied to HereIGoAgain2601's topic in Cloud Services
Microsoft are rolling out saving recordings to OneDrive for Business and SharePoint, allowing people to set permissions. Have a read of this page and see if it'll cover what your after: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/tmr-meeting-recording-change -
I found lp was shown online for some Sharp models so I opted for that. Maybe it doesn't matter what you set. All seems to be working so I'm going to trail it on one of our MFD's and see what happens. Thanks

What did you set for the queue name?

I think to have a road map, you need to have some form of development.... Are you looking for the support road map?

Sorry to bring back of old thread but I've got the same problem since updating to Server 2019. I've had a look in the print processor but I can't see LPR? PS this is the PCL6 driver for the Sharp MX-5140N

Coronavirus: General discussion (see opening post for rules)
robyholmes replied to Dos_Box's topic in General Chat
Students off ill for non-covid reasons can't get out of lessons now either, you simple learn from home! I wonder if schools will have to start re-thinking when a student is absence? If they login from home when sick, is that a absence or are they learning offsite? -
Hi All, So it turns out that even Microsoft Office 365 Desktop is still wanting good old Internet Explorer. I recently discovered that embeding a YouTube video (Likely all online videos) in PowerPoint 365 works up until the point you come to press play. At which point it fails and says it requires Internet Explorer to be installed. I've had a look on uservoice and couldn't find a suggestion to move away from requiring IE so I've made one: https://powerpoint.uservoice.com/forums/288949-powerpoint-for-windows-desktop-application/suggestions/41506495-embed-video-support-edge

Connecting interactive board using serial(Win10)
robyholmes replied to worker1212's topic in Promethean Direct Support
I can't confirm the exact version number. I just know V5.7 is suggested for the old V1 and V2 serial connected boards. The key thing is making sure you select serial drivers during the installation. -

Using version 5.7 seems to be the suggestion for serial boards, making sure you select 'Serial Drivers' as you install it. -
We're also looking for this. It seems some FMS have it built in but our LA only support one and it doesn't have anything.
