    Fedora 8

Glad you found it, be aware though it's horribly old and really not supported anymore. Fortunately, in my experience the upgrade path isn't too terrible. EDIT: Your link points to the 64bit one. http://kdeforge.unl.edu/mirrors/fedora-archive/fedora/linux/releases/8/Live/i686/Fedora-8-Live-KDE-i686.iso That's the 32bit version of the one you linked to (ie, kde livecd) ^
  2. An excellent opportunity to work with an outstanding and proven innovator/leader. (Soulfish) Good luck to all who apply.
  3. Could be firefox 3.6.scum or linux, or the phase of the moon as my number pad has decided it's not going to work anymore. If it's not happening for anyone else consider it PEBKAC and I'll go sit under a rock.
  4. I miss being able to press tab and then enter to post.
  5. CS New Media if you're not hosting it yourself. Lots of experience with moodle and even recommended in a moodle book somewhere along the line.
  6. Sounds like an outstanding idea and one that I'm sure if nurtured and developed further could be a real success story.
  7. "SSsshh, don't look, they're watching us"
  8. Worry not, there's still no Apple support Windows Apple or otherwise
  9. Hi, Yes, this tends to happen when the user cannot write to the desktop. Create a ".freemind" directory (by all means hide it) on the desktop and that should nip it in the bud. I forget if I had to set any permissions on the folder but it's a step in the right direction, I used procmon to find the failing call.
  10. S'fair enough I just interpreted as though you'd finished. No worries though.
  11. Nice read. Oh, but:
  12. The L300 is rather impressive on Multipoint Server / RDS, I think you'll be quite surprised. Cheers, Kim
  13. June will have several 11am - 12pm's 16th June. https://www112.livemeeting.com/lrs/microsoft1/Registration.aspx?pageName=27bd0hf2hnqblp6x
  14. I guess it all depends on the person, their requirements/needs, & whether they have a partner/friend/parents they live with to share the financial burden. Plenty of people do it and don't have problems but not being in this position I cannot comment further on the specifics.
  15. Yes. - You will lose the feeling of surprise when users report printers with empty toner cartridges via the old way of "printer broken"
  16. WinstallLE works pretty well.
  17. Mac address of the linux boot workstation will be passed over to the view desktop so you can still do location based.
  18. Blame the forum gremlins! I must get in touch with you regarding LSP......

  20. Howdy Hope you're doing good! Looks like a moodledata folder that, upload it all into "moodledata" and import the mysqldump.sql and set up config.php with the mysql db credentials etc. Might have a sticking point on the passwords as glennda says as they may well have not supplied the salt info to you.
  21. I'm guessing the 4 digit numerals are the folders from inside moodledata, is there nothing else such as user, temp, sessions, cache, etc? The mysqldump will be fine that'll just import but depending upon what version it was running before it might need to go through the utf8 conversion process to work with the latest 1.9 moodles. Is there no directory structure / info at all in what they've provided?
