Have done, had a nice email back too which is always nice. She sounds like a committed person to a good cause. Always happy to support that.
-
Done. You're right, meant to do that before.
-
(I've done some...), it's mostly about marrying up settings in the BIOS afterwards. If you want to, ping me the name of the engineer you're having visit and I'll see if I know of him Moreover, ping me the name of the one you're dealing with if you're concerned to see if I know of him too. (we can also raise awareness of this with the SR in our escalation process) Or drop @Hebdenlad a message to sound stuff out by him.

Safe to delete a users TEMP folder W2K3 Server ?
kmount replied to EN4's topic in Windows Server 2000/2003
Depends what's in it (and if the user is logged in) but most probably it's just junk temp files that you can delete. -
URGENT! Restoring missing folders from SYSVOL
kmount replied to Admiral208's topic in Windows Server 2008
Not used BE in years but you could try navigating via c:\windows\ to sysvol that way which possibly will let you restore the individual files. I wouldn't restore the whole system state if I could help it. -
URGENT! Restoring missing folders from SYSVOL

How many domain controllers do you have? If more than 1 are the policies missing from them all? -
I would seek requirements from the department before making any decisions.

Wish my internet filtering protected me from that link. -
Trusted colleagues feel free to PM me if you want the gist of what it said before it was edited.
-
ah, seen a mod has already edited it. Ignore my last post

'Psycho labradoodle' owner, glad I work from home and she goes to work during the day, more energy than a power station and thicker than a cabbage.
-
Did your colleague discover + report this or has it been publicised on the net? I ask because if it's not been publicised I'd probably not want to make as much info available as you have incase it provides enough info for someone to exploit it in the wild. If it's been publicised already then fair enough.

My question is still valid, how do you intend on identifying the user as Year6?
-
No worries, you're welcome.
-
If you've extended the partition you'll need to extend the filesystem to match, maybe : resize2fs /dev/sda1
-
How are you identifying them as in year 6? (AD Group would be easiest, or username prefix?).

Quickest fix for me would be a script to fix up the association. -
[acs] Eportal and BM system issues can't get a response from serco support
kmount replied to robk's topic in MIS Systems
Never used eportal but I have tomcat and it likes it's resources. How many users are you supporting on the DL320 and what kind of resource usage is it showing? -
It might need to be in the sysvol itself. Failing that I'll try and find some time to test this later.
-
Ok, but surely not just to \\yourdomain\sysvol, most likely \\yourdomain\sysvol\desktop_or_something ?? (in that case you might need the .freemind dir in the sysvol share itself)
-
Redirected to where?
-
Hm, that fixed it for me. Oh, is your redirected desktop \\fileserver\desktop$ or \\fileserver\shares$\desktop? (if the latter, you might need to make the .freemind directory in the root of the share)
-
Ah, use a command prompt to rename it move freemind .freemind
-
Hi timlineuk, Are you using a redirected desktop?
