  1. You would think that... if i write a 6 page document extensively covering every option they could have for doing it wrong, probs be OK.
  2. +1 - Wordpress is very easy to maintain, use and lots of cool plug-ins... just make sure you're on the latest version to ensure no takeovers by skiddies putting pictures of devils on it, kids can be sad like that.
  3. I'm not a teacher but... I would assume either direct linking using the encrypted URLs to a post on a desired class/set of classes (e.g, all Physics year 9)... it would be a 'fun task' rather than a homework. The issue would then be staff knowledge, most are pretty... poor on the IT ability scale, means it would then be an additional task for me :-). Ideally, embedding the flash object within the post but I know this is going to be unlikely
  4. Hi Chris, Spoke to a nice guy @ BrainPOP today regarding an extended trial. I can try within Studywiz, as far as I understood... it'd be a URL to embed using your JS or direct linking to your site (passing login credentials/auth details). I will test this in Studywiz if you'd like or if you could let me know any other details.
  5. He isn't posting e-mail address to send to so it isn't being hijacked (I assume).
  6. People do this to increase page rank on google, if they have links on a site with a good page rank (EVEN IF IT DOESN'T SHOW), it will increase the links to the site and eventually... increase search engine rank and PR rank - like said above. People can pay a lot if you have a good PR site, I've seen PR6 sites sell $50.00 for a link!
  7. You can find sites online that will do it! Could create a func for checking any URL checking .net .co.uk .org.uk as they may have no https/https prefix. Have an array of prefixes/TLD/ Search terms and have a counter for every time a criterion is met, then you could have a score based block :-p (return the counter from func)
  8. It's not pretty but will do what you've asked, will need to fill your bits in, assumes $body is the main text of your e-mail from the sender. $tofind = 'http://'; $pos = strpos($body, $tofind); if ($pos === FALSE) { //not found, do sendmail } else { // report URL found }
  9. Will happily donate, my mum has secondary breast cancer and uses the BCC website to communicate and get support. Good cause, will be donating pay day (26-02-10).
  10. Not quite as simple as i'd anticipated... It is possible to check what is typed into the username on the field by hooking onto IE... however, if a daemon was to run on a laptop it'd be pretty slow... and it'd probably miss the input if they are quick typers and hit submit before the check fires (dependant on how quick they type and length inbetween each time it checks) I don't use Facebook but presumably, like when you've logged into GMAIL it would alter the Window Title, for instance: "Google Mail - Inbox - [email protected]" I'm sure facebook has a title for this. It could be ran as a daemon to find the possible window titles it could have every few seconds, it would mean they could log in before it was closed & would need a lot of potential windows titles. A sneakier way is to redirect facebook to a local website capture the e-mail address inputted and dependant on entry either send the request to FB to login, else window close itself/give error - that's probably a bit easier but a bit sneaky and underhand and potentially a way of getting a password too. Not sure on who you're blocking it for but potentially unethical!
  11. It is possible in AutoIT to do something very similar if not exactly what you're after. Let me have a muck around and i'll post something in a bit.
  12. Do you want something directly on a computer or something to run on a proxy server?
  13. Keep getting an error with I guess Win API call and have set all exe's to Win95 compat mode. Any ideas? I used to love playing this on WW chat, wasn't very good at ranked though. Cheers
  14. KFC wipes, gives you a valid reason to eat bad every day.
  15. HOUSE FTW + 1
  16. My grandad would have loved that, recently passed on - massive rugby fan and my Dad's scottish (his son in law). Was fun giving my dad a bit of stick... :-D
  17. I think that's a fair review of the game, shows the quality of wales... when they put pressure on and string some moves they're a good team although, some of it against 14 men;) When they did play they were strong but even playing badly they pretty much kept Scotland at bay, Welsh MOTM was Adam Jones - niggling the Scottish pack & at every ruck with plenty of aggression, he is much improved - good player.
  18. One exists in the new dreamweaver, the spry components - they're even ajaxified, i think it's called an accordian.
  19. Ball is played until kicked out or stoppage... lost and won many games like that playing amateur:D
  20. I like the use of the word clean :-P
  21. How did the Ireland hooker not get sin binned 3-4 minutes ago... he took the guys legs out with a swinging leg, Roy Keane would have been proud.
  22. I am still worried, we had monsterous issues with escalation paths - maybe they'll revise support structure too. Hopefully the chaps wont lose jobs and they will soon become as knowledgable as the AUS staff... escalation times regardless of SLA were terrible.
  23. Just got it now... Some dodgy ad script on the site?
  24. It does have some scarier parts to the game, lots of skeletons, ghosts, beasts and devil/fiend like characters - I found some bits of the game eerie and a little spooky. If you look for images from the game for places like Duskwood & Stratholme it gives an idea of atmosphere/content. In terms of content, no blood, gore and guts - green stuff spills out on some of the characters animations - the generated content isn't scary but isn't suitable for primary school kids. The game has a Friends system you can make friends and talk to each other much like IRC querying, it has the option to 'Party'/'Raid' with other members in an effort to work together to kill something. It also has the opportunity to become part of a 'Guild', this is where you can play with like minded people and do these team based tasks. A guild has a big chat room with all the team members to discuss tactics, ideas and basically anything they want. A lot of guilds have forums off of the game, often members sign up to chat outside of the game. Often guilds will use voice chat programs like Ventrilo & TS2 to discuss tactics as it's quicker than typing when doing a 'raid'. This is not suitable for a primary school child, the game is known to be very addictive and I've known personally people destroy relationships with how much they've played it. Even with chat moderation people can say what they want through symbols & 1337 speak. My opinions above are based on playing it on/off since year 2 of university... it becomes a habit rather than enjoyable so I have to keep quitting the game, that's probably more of a reflection on my character than the game
  25. Hate kicking dead threads but you've just saved my life.
