  1. Have you reported this to the service desk? I haven't picked up that this is still an issue.
  2. Perhaps it's time for another FoI request!!
  3. Here's a reply from David Stott - the author of Nova-T: Vik's suggestions are nearly what I would recommend: I’d do it with a non-class-code, rather than a “'Free' subject that must be taught”. It’s basically a “floating placeholder” that’s wanted, limited to a day. So like PPA – but moveable within the periods of a single day. Just need to emphasize that too many of these will lock the timetable up. It’s a judgement call. If the user does create these floating NCC placeholders, and then the timetable refuses to complete, it’s probably time to remove them again… If it were me, I think I might try doing the timetable first without the rule, then try to add in constraining NCCs like this slowly, and reschedule, as a form of optimisation. But it all depends how important the requirement is, and how blocky the curriculum is. (If it’s very full or large blocks, then optimisation is less likely to work.)
  4. @drewp - the hosted performance is normally reported as better than local. I assume you've reported it/checked out the bandwidth into the school?
  5. @edutech4schools support units that are accredited have to get good ratings from their schools!
  6. The structure of SharePoint dictates that the parent lands on the site collection landing page rather than directly to the Parent or Student dashboards. There are 4 clicks needed to access the report. The second part of the question being asked is around bypassing the parent dashboard to the student dashboard – unfortunately the way that the parent dashboard was coded, relies on the student being selected which means they have to go to the parent dashboard first. We are working on the next generation of SLG and this is an area that will be reworked.
  7. @kennysarmy - thanks. You might be pleased to know that we're beginning the task of re-writing Exams!
  8. Parental responsibility and court order fields are critical in messaging contacts, at least using InTouch. SIMS won't message contacts that are not parental unless specifically sent. Court orders override everything.
  9. Using SOLUS3?
  10. @Steven_Cleaver thanks Steven I was concerned that anyone could pose on this forum and ship dangerous/malicious scripts!
  11. Please do not share scripts - go through your support unit.
  12. We've given Inventory a call to assist.
  13. @localzuk - it was a number I was given last week. Things do move quickly. I think we put people off by suggesting that the DfE Return should be completed first.
  14. 350 schools have updated so far
  15. @Sylv3r - you are correct. We're working on the next version which will be able to show these details
  16. Please raise a case. Members will always offer help but if you really need to get this properly checked out.
  17. @matt40k - I doubt if you will have retired for two reasons: The retirement age will be 75 by the time you get there We may well redevelop Nova-T sooner than you expect!
  18. Alternative Curriculum allows you to track children that are taken out of their normal lessons. Activity Management is a little more than that.
  19. Unfortunately, I cannot use these forums to talk about future plans as it will be classified as advertising! I can say we won't be developing our own report generator in future.
  20. It's pretty powerful - you can get almost anything out.
  21. @minimoo your case is being reopened.
  22. @minimoo - it's worked, I've noticed! Have asked our architect to look at your observations.
  23. All manuals, guides videos etc are available through the documentation centre within SIMS.
  24. The autumn release activates the spring returns so please ensure that the autumn returns are accepted by DfE
  25. New grade sets are available through AMPARK. You can always use your own Aspects etc but then you have to map them to what we know about in order for us to create Attainment 8 etc etc.
