About Stratty94

  1. Hi Millsy, We had to enable TLS 1.1/1.2 in IE in the end and disabled the setting "Display intranet sites in Compatibility View" within IE via Group Policy, turns out the auth bit uses IE in the background when a student/ staff member signs in and despite MS ditching it Adobe haven't quite caught up yet. I have no idea why this error presented itself on a student mandatory profile but not a staff account, I asked Adobe support this and they couldn't tell me but changing these settings seemed to resolve it for me
  2. Hi all We have recently installed Adobe CC 2021 across the environment at our school and have opted for the per user licence model. The installation has gone fine but when the students come to use the software, the activation page tries to load and then disappears with an error message: "Sorry, something went wrong. This is likely an issue at our end, but it could be that you're not connected to the Internet. Please check your Internet connection and try again" and they are unable to provide their username / password to use the software. When a member of staff signs in (or the software is run as an admin with elevated perms), the activation page appears and allows the user to sign in We use mandatory profiles here and if you remove the profile from AD I can get the activation page to appear, so I know the challenge is with the mandatory profile but am struggling to work out what to change to get it to work. Has anyone else come across this at their site with mandatory profiles? Out of all the schools that do use mandatory profiles and Adobe CC, I cant believe it's happening across the country? Any help is very much appreciated as I'm currently pulling my hair out, waiting for their support team to respond! Cheers, Liam
  3. Ahh I had an idea it may have been Tucasi, thanks for the help mate
  4. Hi all, I'm sorry if this has been posted in the wrong forum, but does anyone know what happened to Booking Pro please? I can't find any record of the company who originally wrote the software, and will need to migrate the database I have to a new server soon. Have they gone bust, or been absorbed by another? Many thanks in advance, Liam
  5. Hi PhilNeal, Thank you for your reply. I have previously registered a case with Capita, but they were less than helpful unfortunately. They told me that I either had permissions issues (which doesn't seem likely as each user has full control over their own area), or as a work around; to just put the reports on a global share that all members of staff can access (which we have now done). I don't mind using the workaround, but it would be nice to eventually get something sorted.
  6. Hi all, I'm having an issue with SIMS where a report for a student posted in the linked documents area is throwing up a path error when members of staff are attempting to access a read-only version of the document. The XML file is being deposited into the 'My SIMS Documents' location within a users' documents (located on a file server, and mapped via GPO for every user), but when SIMS attempts to open the document, it can't find this file. I'm wondering if there is a way within SIMS of pointing this default file location elsewhere (i.e. the C drive on the local machine), or whether this is coded into SIMS and is impossible to change? Thank you in advance for any replies, and I will endeavour to post more information as I realise that the above explanation is rather vague.
