It's quite a bit of work to convert & I doubt if our quote would be less. If you only want the basics the CTF will give you that but if you want to avoid having to keep data on your old system convert the lot. We can run SIMS in Azure today. When we do move to 8 for secondary transfer will be automatic. That is quite a few years away!

@SouthCoastSaint - I'm happy to follow it up if needed. We have some great staff but on occasions we can get it wrong and we need to learn to ensure problems don't reoccur.

I don't think this is possible. What business process are you trying to complete? There may be an alternative way of dealing with it.

I don't think so. I think we expect medical notes to be held in the fields provided and then they are printable.

@Mr Brow absolutely fixed. However a symptom can have other causes. The causes mentioned in this thread were resolved shortly after they were raised.

There is a notification on MyAccount - don't know when it was posted. The suspended piece is SSM not the app.

I've had an update from the product manager and there are a number of schools reporting this since the last update. We have suspended the upgrade whilst we investigate.

The issues in this thread have been resolved. You may be experiencing something new. We have >600 schools using the app so we will know very quickly if something else has occurred.

@MrBrow - understood. That's not come to development yet but I will watch out.

The maxing out is an old issue caused by a MS Azure fault that was resolved a long time ago. I've spoken to the development team and nothing has been reported as yet. I'll keep an ear out.

If you switch back the academic year you'll not be able to see this years. SchoolComms have access to all year's data.

I don't think we do get crash reports through automatically so please report them if they are affecting confidence. In the case of our newer software Agora, Teacher App etc we do have a means of monitoring and have an active programme of fixing issues often almost before they are noticed.

Please log cases. We have not been getting feedback that the summer release has performance problems.

We have recreated the scenario of opening Exams from SIMS. Going back to SIMS and closing it. Exams remains open. If you do the upgrade at this point you will get this error.

I checked this out with the team yesterday and it is as I described. When iOS upgrades it alters the machine ID. Apple accept that it shouldn't but are not planning a fix. We've altered how we associate the machine with our server to avoid future occurrences. We appreciate that is is a real pain - sorry.

You are correct. It is not the SQL connection that is the issue.

Unless something can be replicated it can't be fixed. We have visited schools but it is after the event which is no good in understanding the issue.

Did you upgrade to SQL2014 at the same time?

As a matter of interest - is this concept used elsewhere?

I have posted on this before. The only time we can get an upgrade fail is when Exams has been left open during the upgrade - easy to do. S3 has the power to deal with the issue - S2 cannot. Exams is not normally needed on 100s of machines?

The PP flag is owned by government - they tell the school who has the flag. The school should be using it to demonstrate that these pupils are benefitting from the funding i.e. attendance, attainment, behaviour is not below those children not at a disadvantage. Discover can show comparative graphs which can demonstrate effectiveness day to day and in an inspection. The PP flag is dated. I think it is possible for the LA to provide a file to update these records.
