  1. why does the text on this page not show as thoma when it does on every other device? Contact Us - W E Audio - Complete Sound Solutions - Professional Audio Hire (happens on both gen of ipads)
  2. yes - speaking as both a student and as a tech PC's can work. Sibelius will work no problems and their site license app for your server means that you can have concurrent connections from upto how many you're licensed to but have it installed everywhere. you might wanna think about upgrading the sound cards so something with an ASIO driver and as lower latency as possible tho (or use asio4all). we had a lab full of PC's (28 i think) running Sibelius and using asio4all to emulate a soundcard with an ASIO driver. i've dabbled alot with cubase studio 4 and had an almost working network msi for it. it's not friendly for a network install and was fiddily to set up (a number of reg hacks) - tho this was on an RM cc3/4 network. i've never had any trouble with cubase on PC myself - but i am what i would consider not the average user. I was a student and used Sibelius and cubase for my music GCSE and Alevel music Tech, had no technical problems in doing so. One problem you will have pc or mac wise with real audio is that wav files are large, and large files will need to be in RAM and streaming across your network. and then there's backing it all up. as a student i was constantly needing/fighting for more space, think in the end i had about 4GB of audio files/edits and mixes.
  3. i like it, and the content seems good - there are some rough sites out there.

  13. urm - yeah they are worth a bit to the right person. Anyone wanting that 'vintage sound' would love to have some older originals. Might be worth posting on some guitar specific forums.
  14. they look pretty kwl - i wonder how they did it (not being a coffee drinker)
  15. Home » LibreOffice is another one - simalar to open office.
  16. If X is currently roughly the middle of your site - make it the 'core' of your network and branch out from their. if you have an existing core then use that surely. or make it option where your core can be as in glennda's example. in fact thats what i would do, as it gives alot of flexibility in the future.
  17. friends in centerbury have no isses at all. just cant text me...
  18. well i thought it was the phone - looked like it was in flight mode, but other people at work are having the same issues.
  19. my phone hasn't had a connection since 3am, no network coverage and filing to connect to all other networks. still playing up.
  20. RAID 5 can only tolerate 1 drive per array failure. So if two failed ur out of luck. To recover any data you would need 3 of your 4 disks in a working condition.

  22. we're upping our 2GB machines to 4GB but all have on board graphics atm. (bar the heads as he's got a dual head graphics card). 4GB was the recommendation from our sims consultant that we use I believe.
  23. Our strawberries have come up early this year. we're growing them outside with no pestersides and no fertilisers. just good old compost. we've experimenting with putting hey around them to stop slugs ect eating our food and to keep the produce off the compost. we grow spuds, carrots and strawberries successfully in our garden.
  24. so if I accidentally break my mobo I can upgrade it as it is now defective?
