Hi there
We have a Windows Sever 2003 server that we would like to be able to limit certain folder sizes on.
I am aware of the quota management stuff that is already available within Windows Server 2003, but it isn't flexible enough for our needs.
Ideally we want our teachers to have a set limit, like 1GB of storage. We then have shared subject areas. So Science for example have 5 teachers, all of them can use this Science shared area so we would like to assign that folder 5GB.
With the built in quota system you can only set a per user quota. So any files a Science teacher has in their personal storage and in the Science shared area get totalled up. This means they tend to easily exceed their 1GB allowance.
Can anyone recommend a good bit of third party software to do this for us?
We've seen SpaceGuard SRM, but at £600+ it's beyond our budget
Any advice will be much appreciated
