I'll drink to that.

You will be pleased to know that you are not the only Female in IT, I have been in IT all my working life which is a grand total of 28 years.... yes I'm very old... lol... I am a qualified computer programmer; the course taken whilst my children were at home. I am currently the Senior ICT Technician of a team of seven and have been here (for my sins) for 13 years. The rest of my team are lads! I have a great time with them, they make me really laugh. I couldn't wish for a better team to work with.:mullet:

I'll see your 'I started my degree on punch cards at Uni in the early 80s!' and raise you my 'First job in IT Was in Nov. 1970 (when it was called DP) working for the National Coal Board (who?) in South Wales'.

Still hanging in there 39 years later.

Is this a record?

Obviously there is scope for an addon package, Hunkbuntu, one for the laydees. A fairly quick addon to produce, its really just changing some 1s for 0s :D

Hi,

I'm the Chief Software Architect at FAB Enterprises a developer of SMS Text Messaging solutions for Small Businesses and Schools.

Hopefully I will be passing on my knowledge of software development in the "coding and web development" forums.

Also as a parent governor I'm hoping I can learn a thing or too myself and help advise my local school on ICT matters.
