Afternoon all, For the love of all that is holy, does anyone have a copy of Jmail they can send me? I've tried downloading it from the emailed link from Dimac a half dozen times now and every time it just seems to corrupt and when I try and install it comes up with not a valid package and wont install. I'd appreciate it if anyone has the jmail installer if they could send me it and I'll try that one. Thanks, Jake

Did you ever find a solution to this? I'm having the exact same problem and its bugging the bejesus out of me

Morning all, Spent yesterday diagnosing a login issue and in doing so I realised how much of a mess our AD is, redundant accounts, empty OUs, empty groups, groups that contain another group as a member and that group has the initial group as a member, so effectively just looping around on itself and achieving nothing. Just wondered what methods you all use to clean up AD, redundant accounts are easy enough to manage by last login date, but the looping groups thing I'm not so sure of the best way to get an idea of , which doesnt involve me having to check every group.

Thanks Nick, I've no idea if this is any help or not ... Handling Apostrophe (single-quote) in XPath expressions in .NET « Bugs! Space
-
No no, I dont think you're rude, I dont run the network, the apostrophe choice isnt one made by me, so no offense taken
-
Yeah its a touch unfortunate, but their AD useraccounts have the apostrophes in and they get ever so irate if they dont have their names done "properly"

Morning, Been testing this out with a few users now without any issue (other than it seems really really slow, any thoughts on that?) , but today I've increased the test userbase to include a few more members of staff and two of these users have apostrophes in their surnames and neither of them are able to login due to the apostrophes. When they try it comes up with : '/Bookings/Booking[@username=co'sullivan]' has an invalid token. Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code. Exception Details: System.Xml.XPath.XPathException: '/Bookings/Booking[@username=co'sullivan]' has an invalid token. Everyone else is able to log in perfectly fine, just the two with apostrophes who are having the issue. I'm sure that somewhere I could just insert a line to replace the apostrophe with something else automatically? Anyone got a solution to this? Jake

Bay House is my school. Thats pretty much all I am at liberty to say publicly. -
We have almost 3000 students on our live@edu, must say that so far its been fine. The filtering options are pretty decent really and you can set it so that only permitted domains can send mail to the students etc. Any emails triggered by your defined filters can be copied to an admin etc.

Anyone encountered the following issue with Illustrator CS4? We have the CS4 Master Suite, running on decent spec machines (Windows 7 64bit machines, 8gb ram) All the other packages within CS4 are running without issue, however we do seem to have one of those annoyingly intermittent problems which are often so much more difficult to diagnose. When a student is working in Illustrator and goes to save their work , sometimes Illustrator will crash with a "Exception_Access_Violation" error. This causes the work done to be lost. The problem is that it doesnt happen all the time to the same machine, doesnt even happen all the time to the same student. They can save x number of times without problem and then it falls over, or it could be the first save of the day and it falls over. It happens regardless of file size, can be a blank sheet with just a black line on it or it can be a heavy imaged sheet of work. The students have ample quota within their documents areas to save the file. I've never had it crash yet whilst using an admin account so I am guessing that its something restriction/permission related, but am drawing a blank as to why they can sometimes save and sometimes not within the same session, given that they have the usual setups regarding both their documents and drive accesses. I've dug around a bit on google and the adobe forums and cant seem to find anyone else with an identical problem, so I am assuming its something our end rather than adobes. Anyone seen anything like that with Illustrator? Or maybe with another package within CS4 which might also apply to Illustrator?

Nothing within the web interface, but I can perform a test print using the physical buttons on the printer. Which prints happily without issue.

Yeah I've gone to the web management via IP (thats where I see the Media Mismatch error reported), but there are no options on there for paper types or tray setups. The web page is actually pretty basic, essentially just covers the networking details, ink levels, current status and thats about it. Nothing in there thats actually configurable (aside from the network settings)

Absolutely at my wits end (not that is particularly far some people would say ) We have 3 A3 Officejet 7000s and they are driving me utterly mad. I've tried 11 different drivers so far, various "compatible" ones and version 12, 13 and 14 of the official drivers. I've installed, cleaned, removed , reinstalled umpteen times. Tried on Server 2003, Server 2008, an XP machine....No matter what I have tried its done the following.. Doesnt print, throws out a blank page and when you look at the printer in the browser via IP it shows an alert which says "Media Error : Media Mismatch". Print an A4 page with A4 paper, Media Mismatch Print an A3 page with A3 paper, Media Mismatch Print anything at all damnit...Media Mismatch. Tried phoning HP themselves, sent through to some Delhi backstreet and the woman was next to useless and clearly just following on-screen prompts.... "Go to the start menu"....er...yeah, you do know what I do for a job right? I mean you do understand what I've tried so far?. Has anyone, anyone at all...got any idea why the devil I am getting Media Mismatch on every one of these printers, seemingly regardless of driver or OS. We have almost 200 HP printers and the others are all fine apart from these A3s, which CDT want for weird plans and gadgets and what not

Great stuff, some good options to look at here, thanks all
