Good to see you again. Don't be a stranger / don't get any stranger
Ksavage413 Posted September 29, 2017 Posted September 29, 2017 Hey all. ICT Tech for a Secondary School in South Oxfordshire, and first job within the IT business itself. Have done some PC building outside but apart from that I'm rather new to the field, so still learning.

Welcome - and don't worry about the still learning bit... we're all still learning as the pace of change in I.T. is so fast Edited September 29, 2017 by korifugi so fast - I can't even type properly 1

teq Posted October 8, 2017 Posted October 8, 2017 me! I'm new here. New to working in education too. Enjoying the challenge of pulling rabbits out of hats.
garynewport Posted October 19, 2017 Posted October 19, 2017 Hope this is okay but thought I would drop in and say hello. Just joined but little else to say at present.
epoch_roots Posted October 19, 2017 Posted October 19, 2017 also new around here - just picked up my first job in education after 14 hours in the private sector. i had support agreements that cost more than the entire annual IT budget here, so definitely going to be a new challenge...
TomHD Posted October 19, 2017 Posted October 19, 2017 just picked up my first job in education after 14 hours in the private sector. That's a short tenure And welcome of course 1

jos18411 Posted November 16, 2017 Posted November 16, 2017 Hi, my names Jo. I was a member, under a different Username for few years until I left education to move to the private sector a year ago. I still find the site very useful and reading the forums is a nice break. Currently migrating a SharePoint site from 2010 to 2013, so breaks from that are quite frequent as it's not the most exciting task lol! 2

I only registered on Edugeek when I left education. I didn't have the time for it when I was working in a school, although I did lurk a lot. Now that I'm in a private company and maintaining their infrastructure EduGeek is the best resource I could ever have Hope you're enjoying life outside of the public sector! 1

munrol Posted November 20, 2017 Posted November 20, 2017 Hi all, I'm a teacher who has recently taken on responsibilities in exams with no previous experience and we've just moved from CMIS to SIMS! Any support will be hugely appreciated!

Any support will be hugely appreciated! Welcome! There's plenty of SIMS users on here so you should be able to get answers to most questions - I try and keep clear of it wherever possible but we are a SIMS school so I know some of its peculiarities and quirks.
