Ohh here's something I haven't seen mentioned, hopefully we'll get some more info on Red Dead Redemption 2 (think the release dates in October?)

NSA backdoor in 3...2...1... /jk I'll be interested to see where this goes, especially since competitors like Apple and Amazon use GitHub.

I need that Kingdom Hearts 3 news! Been waiting a decade Can't wait for all the indie titles too, as they commonly get overlooked because of the bigger announcements (it's how I found one of my favorite games, Owlboy). And of course, any potential Halo/Fallout/Elder Scrolls (LOOOOONG SHOT) news is forever welcome!

It's keeping data accessible regardless of technological changes, ie: keep the data you use usable through keeping it updated, making sure the software you use to access it is up to date, and that people are sufficiently trained to interpret it. source: scrounging up a few articles and trying to wrap my head around it.

You know you work in a $Type-of school when...
Ksavage413 replied to Jawloms's topic in General Chat
"You know you work in a xxx school when..." Phrasing -Silliness aside, you know you work in a rural school when the year 11 leavers release 5 chickens into the canteen from the local allotments. -when it's quicker to walk to work, download something, then walk home. -students stay in school and don't wonder off site because there is nowhere to go off site. -even light snow can shut down the school because of the ruralness of the infrastructure. -you end up working at the same school you went too. -
How much extra time do you put in out of hours?
Ksavage413 replied to beeswax's topic in General Chat
I do my hours, but i'm just a technician and not a NM-- so less responsibilities that need to be handled outside of work hours in my job description. Generally if I need to work late (open evenings, school production etc) I'll start later in the day or take the time off another day in the week as needed and vice versa for the NM. I do, however, accidentally stay too late on Fridays since I work a half hour shorter day then, whoops! -
Yeah it's fully player controlled, adds some interesting twists when a director decides to save you from the brink of death when you're freezing only to nuke your zone a moment later. It's duo's only ATM because having 4man squads in the current 10 player match format isn't exactly plausible.

If anyone's looking for a good battle royale that isn't just a clone of PUBG or Fortnite, The Darwin Project is very good. 10 person battle royale that's recently gained duo games. It's free to play (receiving a large update today) with an active playerbase. Takes place in a snowbound arena where you have to manage temperature by building fires, whilst also not being tracked down by other players. Unlike most Royales it doesn't have a circle mechanic, rather a hexagonal grid where each 'zone' is closed by a Game Director (An 11th player who can do things such as heal players, give out upgrades, close zones, nuke zones etc) to draw players together. Talking and entertaining the (potential) audience watching you is always fun, and the gameplay is heavily polish and feels much more responsive than PUBG.

https://blog.avast.com/minecraft-players-exposed-to-malicious-code-in-modified-skins Nearly 50,000 Minecraft accounts have been infected with malware designed to reformat hard-drives and delete backup data and system programs, according to Avast data from the last 30 days. The malicious Powershell script identified by researchers from Avast’s Threat Labs uses Minecraft “skins” created in PNG file format as the distribution vehicle. Skins are a popular feature that modify the look of a Minecraft player’s Avatar. They can be uploaded to the Minecraft site from various online resources. Looking back I'm surprised this wasn't exploited sooner, seeing how it could be a huge attack vector. Looks like most accounts affected was Russia.

Realizing that most of my wardrobe was brought either last year or four years ago, which were both very cold years, I don't have any clothes that fit for warm weather! D:
