What kind of welder did you get MIG? do you need gas bottles/where do you get them from?

It was a Wolf MIG 135a, came with Gas, wire, torch tips, mask (rubbish) and a few other bits.

I got a fresh mask as the one in the kit was horrendous. It uses disposable gas bottles - these can be got from ebay or even halfords. I use co2/argon mix now as it gives a better weld.

First skill you learn as a LR owner is welding.... and lots of it!

Still, they're a damn good bus if you can put in the maintenance hours.

I've got some 220tdi bits if you require them - rear wiper motor etc.

Had an old Range Rover and completely agree, this car got me doing mechanics that I'd never dreamed of doing i.e. swapping one of the carbs in the car park at work so I could drive it home.

My V6 Beast, until next years replacement.

Curious, I get a red cross on the pic and when I put the url directly into IE, I get told the domain name doesn't exist.

EDIT: .. just realised it was a post from 2005 ... Doh!!

I've had my Gen 8 honda civ now for well over 2 years now. Bought it on a 56 plate, and it's been nothing more than trouble free motoring - Bliss. Still riding around on the same tyres chucking in yearly averages, but that might be down to my smooth driving & switching them front to back.

Yes Gen 8, although is an 08 plate, is the last of that model before the new in 2009.
