I'm currently working on a new wireless network at work. I have the WLC and APs setup (2504 WLC and 3x 2602 APs) , they're broadcasting and just about everything that needs to be in place is. Except just one small problem.... RADIUS! I've got the server running, and I can see the requests hitting the server from the Cisco, but I cannot for the life of me get it working and allow me to connect to the SSID. I spent pretty much the whole of yesterday double checking my work and reading up on RADIUS setup to no avail, so I figured I'd ask and see if anyone here had more experience with NPS policies for RADIUS than I. I'd like to use RADIUS to authenticate a user on the corporate WLAN, alongside group membership to ensure that not just anyone can connect. I'd also like to be able to use it to do web auth for the guest SSID. Any help is much appreciated. DT

I built a site for my mom's business, an online store for my dad's business, a site and php forums for the non-profit organization that I chair. And several other little projects along the way. It's a lot of work at first, but just an hour here and there now to update things.

I'll skip the rant.... I'm running a secure ftp server, open ssh version 5. I'm trying to chroot the users belonging to sftpusers group (completed successfully). However, what is of annoyance to me is that any users connecting now cannot write to the directory in which they are jailed!! If i change the permissions on the directory to allow this, the server rejects the connection for security reasons. I need an sftp server that will chroot the users and allow them to write to their respective directories.... In short.. HELP!!! (please ) Anyone have any tips? Thanks in advance. DT EDIT: Scrap that, sussed it. However any files I try to upload seem to fail at exactly 56832000 bytes.... cannot find this set limit anywhere..... any ideas? I've set a 100Mb limit in limits.conf for the concerned usergroup, still nothing...

It would appear we have routing issue.... Anything from this site routing out over the internet and back into our Fredericton site has the issue. Anything connecting in from Fredericton doesn't have the issue..... testing from home tonight, see if the issue persists over a different route. Thanks guys I appreciate the help. DT

Hi guys, So I recently built an FTP server (public) for our VoIP configs on CentOS using VSFTPD. The problem I have now is that I cannot retrieve anything from the server. Uploading to the server is just fine, 3.6 Mbps. I'm lucky if I get a sustained 3Kbps download. Some background: VMware esx 5.1, using E1000 nic (also tried flexible). CentOS 5.5 and vsftpd. The config is good, we've all but ruled out issues with networking kit/hardware by testing other servers in the same subnet. I'm thinking maybe something in the setup, or a problem with the VM itself. I have some more testing to do, I was just wondering if anyone had experienced something similar/the same? Nay, not the unemployed in general. The bone idle, the one's who are "unemployed by choice". Where I used to live there was plenty of them.... That was my aiming point. Politicians are on the same level, bills and expenses paid for by you and me. As for the genuinely unemployed (those that have been made redundant etc, and would ike to work) I really would't gripe at them using the system to their benefit and cover what they need. I do however take issue with those who abuse that system and take away from those who genuinely need it. Hope that's straightened my point out a bit.

It *should* be, yes. But just think of all those folks who keep warm on your tax money having never graced a place of work in their lives. Whilst you sit and freeze, and bust a gut on a daily basis trying to make ends meet.... The first house I bought was gloriously warm, but only because the guy next door never worked a day in his life and always had the heat up full. I didn't need my heating because effectively my taxes were paying his bill anyway... God forbid these people be forced to work and not have enough money to go round, that's some kind of travesty you know

Electricity here is expensive, and the options for house heat are wood/oil burning stoves or furnaces, pellet stoves, and baseboard heaters (hideous, antiquated things that attach to the skirting board and burn leccy for fun). Central heating isn't common, and most insurance companies won't touch your property if you've got it out here (in the sticks). I like snow, and I don't mind winter so much, but I could easily live without -38c again..... Last winter we burnt 6 cord of wood (a stack 24ft long, 4ft high and 16" wide is a cord) and about a tank of oil (200 gallons US) which came to around $2200 or 1600GBP for the winter (Nov-April).More than I would have forked out in gas and leccy back in blighty for the same period. I have friends who run baseboards only, and their monthly hydro bill is $500+ through the winter (hydro is what they call the leccy here, because most of it is from the hydro dams). Electricity companies worldwide are not shy about hiking prices that's for sure, and unfortunately the government hasn't the spine to intervene......

Just you wait, won't be too long before that mutates into "Daddy, I need some money...." I hear that way too much......

Night before last it started about midnight here, didn't ease off until 3pm, by which point we'd had 23 inches dumped on us..... And more due!! Although, I'm not complaining, I love snow. Used in conjunction with Softperfect’s Net scanner will provide and accurate break down of the systems within your network, and allow you to compile information on them. • Extract the files to C:\WMICinfo • Using net scanner, scan the required subnet of your network. -> • Highlight all the lines, right click and expand copy, select hostname -> • Paste the computer names into complist.txt, making sure there is one per line (delete any blank lines) then save. • Run the WMICinfo.exe, it requires admin permissions so enter your credentials at the Windows UAC prompt. • WMICinfo will then prompt for your credentials (this must be an admin account) the tool will then run. WMICinfo will create C:\WMICinfo\Documentation.csv. This contains the information on the systems you entered into complist.txt. Any systems that didn’t respond will be listed in WMICinfolog.txt; this will allow you to investigate further. Done! An entire subnet can be scanned and inventoried in minutes, giving you an accurate picture of what is on your domain!

I was never much the target of bullies, especially after the first to try took a wooden science stool to the cranium I suspect my little mites have developed the same intolerance for bullying.... Harry might only be small, but he's built like a brick outhouse and doesn't take no messing, especially where it involves his sisters. Here in the sticks, expensive or fashionable clothing is not so much of a concern, and I like that. I like that here everyone knows everyone and they all look out for each other. Yes they talk funny and wear camo to school, but it's better than the school they went to back in England. Still school "charity" is ok, when it's every now and then, but when it's every week and you're selling stuff I bought back to me at hiked prices, and then complain you have no money to replace the gym equipment..... come on, pull the other one! I'm not against charity, I'm not against helping out the school, but seriously spending $100 per child for all their supplies at the beginning of the year only to have them taken from them is a joke. I buy them for use by my children...... that's like me stealing your wallet and selling it back to you at an unreasonable margin... you'd have me arrested.

It's a very odd school.... But I guess we're still getting used to the different schooling system here. Amelia returned home with a literacy assessment yesterday, simple question sheet, multiple choice. She got 5/5 on the first section and was graded a C, yet for the second section she scored 4/5 and was graded a B. Go figure! They're mad as a box of frogs. Though I have found it to be very clicky, the children who's parents make huge donations of money and time are quite clearly better catered for.... Little do they know I have the handle on their expected donation of laptops this year....... Don't even get me started on cake sales.... my dad used to say; even dick turpin wore a mask!!! Robbery I tell you!

Our kids brought home flyers yesterday - stationary sale at school.... pencils, erasers $.50 - $1 each. Which wouldn't be as infuriating except at the beginning of the school year I spend $300 on buying the provisions list for my kids for the year ahead. And now they're selling it back to me!? Not only that, but the middle of the three started taking her own pencils in, and when I asked why she said that the teacher has no more to hand out...... 1. Stop selling the damn things back to me 2. Don't expect my child to use her own art supplies for school when point 1 is in effect! They just don't get it! I bought 24 pencils per child in September, the supplies were handed in to the teachers, and each child received 2 pencils in return...... so where the #### have the other 66 pencils gone? oh that's right you sold them.... :censored: Where's my cut, because technically I own that ####! And I have to do it all again in September - well, my 3 will not be handing in good stuff to get crap back!! I've heard of fund raising, but taking the urine out of parents.....

Well, she's mobile again..... Just got her a tidy 99 grand Cherokee packed with a 4.7l V8!!! Just hope she's ok driving on her own. Our friend is going to accompany her today so she doesn't get too overwhelmed. Boy can that car shift! just stomped on the gas pedal; 50 - 140 KM/h in under 4 seconds! Permanent 4wd, all the bells and whistles, and solid enough to keep her safe. It's a weight off my mind for sure! Now to break and sell the parts from the old one......
