Would be interesting to get 3 or 4 of them, stick them to various parts of the bike and make up a nice montage.....

And whilst some of Mattx's manoeuvres are a little bit dodgy, sometimes that sort of riding is necessary. I only started cycling to work 3 weeks ago, and in that time, I've nearly went into the side of 3 cars, been cut up by about half a dozen, had car drivers shout abuse at me and had someone open a car door in front of me. Oh, and I live about 1km from work. So, to avoid a lot of that happening, my cycling may not be the cleanest, but it prevents me ending up splattered on the pavement. Let's face it, there are bad drivers everywhere and they use all sorts of vehicles from cycles up to lorries. People do what they have to do to survive on the roads! Try going to somewhere like Italy and look at how bikers behave there!

The idea that all car drivers are jealous of bikers doing it is wrong. I'm not in a hurry to get anywhere ... I'm not going to risk my health or the health of anyone else so I expect teh same of all others on the road or crossing the road (yes ... you pedestrians ... if there is a zebra crossing 10 yards away then try using it instead of just jumping in the road without looking and with your in-ear, noise cancelling headphones in, playing some massive beats which sound exactly like bones cracking when a car drives over you!) And @mattx ... some nice riding (and yes, some dodgy and illegal riding) but come on ...

Very nice little cam - the quality is astonishing for a 12 quid bargain! Frankly if you want to worry about the lives (and deaths) try motoring around Cambridge. It's not motorbikes there (as much), it's the cyclists. A complete bunch of nutters who all want shooting, and between them are a bigger risk to peoples and their own lives than any plagues, viruses or apocalyptic events you could wish to imagine. I'm not talking to you, Mr Camping, I'm awaiting my hired assassin to belt you with an IQ stick 400 times to bring you up to the average IQ.

The Areas of white diagonal stripes or chevrons painted on the road - You are allowed to ride in them, just don't cross them. I've been a biker most of my life and will only over-take where I think it's safe or I know I can do so without putting myself or others in danger. I know my limits and the limits of my bike. Which includes overtaking on a zebra crossing or the wrong side of bollards? Irresponsible riding at best, downright reckless abuse of two wheels in any other case. Can I ask what you think gives you the right to 'overtake' where other road users are not permitted to do so? Clue: because you can fit through the gap is not the right answer. All the debating over good / bad riding aside - am saving up for one of these quads : There were a few bits that seemed some what risky or whatever but either way you're still in one piece etc so seemed fair enough to me seeing as you didn't run anyone over or have a car plough into you etc. Maybe its just where the camera is situated but looked like before you over took cars etc you seemed a bit close, maybe thats just me Edited May 26, 2011 by mac_shinobi
